Its going to be very hard to 3 star that base with your current offensive power. Your best bet might be some sort of hog attack. I don't think gowiwi will be successful without stronger golems, heros and 220 troops

It won't be easy to 3-star with ground, especially if you're not near max on your ground composition.

Pretty easy for lavaloon though, hence I love it.

He doesn't have lava hounds and only level 5 loons so can't lavaloon

I am very real. I 3-star TH9's with lvl 6 AD's almost near 100% of the times, often without using all my rage spells.

Got plenty of replays in our war log to prove it.

Attack TH8's.

Gowiho can possibly clear it. 22-24 lvl 4 hogs are enough if you can kill the AQ/CC. You need to be very good with your drops and heals though.

This is a weird clan with only four TH8 opponents, all of which have been three starred already (three by me, tee hee). There was another 8.5 with a hole in core that I had a shot at, but someone snagged it. I guess I'll go clean up a TH7, even though that war bonus is a disgusting pittance.

Well, specifically what troops would I use to deal with BK and AQ, and how would I penetrate into them to do so?

I could lure cc with 5-20 pips on that southern archer tower, depending on whether I want to try to kill some towers while I'm there. (There are several different strategies I could use for that. Suggestions? The exposed cannons makes me want to hit them with air somehow.) One involves 1-2 giants, hoping to get the whole cc out while they get blasted by ~4 towers, and kill nothing with them. Then, hopefully, use poison to clear the CC, but more likely having to pull a dragon somewhere else and kill him. A minion on the southeast elixir storage gets him part way. I'm assuming I would want to kill the dragon on the east side out of range of the AQ, so that when the kill is almost done, I can drop the golem and have it tank the AQ, and have my kill squad (i.e., whatever wizards didn't get fried) finish her off. Then surgical hog counterclockwise starting with the northeast AT, 3 on each external point defense tower, pre-healing as hogs approach a likely GB spot). Is one golem enough? What do I want in the cc? I usually get witches for killing CC for my TH8 GoHo's, but maybe I want golem now that I'm TH9, and I can put more power in my cc kill squad?

Alternatively, I could just try to get stuff into core and go for two stars. There aren't many attacks left above me, and out #1 is short his AQ. I've never gone a GoWiPe in my life though.

-Lvl 74 TH9 - didn't use CC nor spells
-Lvl 73 TH9 - same
-Lvl 101 TH9 - did use all my troops except 1 rage spell
-Lvl 95 TH10 with 2 infernos - used everything

Max golem in CC, another golem of your own, drop them at 3:00, wizards behind, wall breakers into the gold storage compartment, BK into the hole, AQ into the hole, AQ will jump the wall before attacking, when she hits your BK both your king and queen will stop what they're doing to target her, easy kill. CC should be there by then, if you brought enough wizards that's also an easy kill. You can surgical hog but there aren't many dgb locations, and if they do exist in the center your hogs are unlikely to path there. Try to start hogs on the defense that's already distracted by the golems.

My understanding is 8.5 means you are "past TH8" i.e., you have dinged into TH9, but have very little TH9 stuff yet. I listed that I have 210 army camp, AQ, and some other things that indicate my status.

Anyway, I borked my first GoWiPe hoping to get 2 stars, and didn't funnel well enough, so my pekkas went for a walk, one starring and we got a war tie.

8.5 means having full TH9 offenses but only TH8 defenses. You are just a new TH9

FWIW straight gowipe is fine if you knew you only needed 2 stars for the win.

Also, TH8.5 includes AQ. TH8.5 is a war strat and strong heroes is indisputably a net positive in war. It would be ridiculous to hold off on building her.
