Shorter ttks reward route-taking and tactics, longer ttks reward aim and flatten k/ds because of 1v2s etc. I happen to be very good at both MW2 and BO by any metric, I just like the thinking aspect more than the aiming aspect. It's why I really liked BF2 but never got into Halo. It's not that I'm not good at both, I am, but I figured we all liked COD because it was a tactically deep game. At the margins, the changes in TTK have made it less so and moved it closer to halo. I think the pace of mw2 was especially exciting, but if you guys like slowing the action down every time you see an enemy to have a pillowfight when you're both on a 3-bar, so be it.
Doesn't this post suggest that you should simply be using different tactics? If longer ttk means that you are going to lose 2 on 1's, maybe you should be trying to figure out what tactical adjustments you can make to either: 1) Gain a large enough advantage to win 2 on 1's (positioning, cover, etc.) and/or 2) Find ways to avoid 2 on 1 situations where you can't do anythign to give you the upper hand.
Obviously you can't always do either of those things, so sometimes you're just going to get killed when you are in a bad situation, but it seems like one could employ tactics to minimize those bad situations.
Also, people should stop comparing MW2 and BO KDR's. They are different games made by different developers, why should we expect the gameplay to translate well enoguh to make any meaningful comparisons between those two numbers.
I am not sure if I like BO or MW2 better. For me they are fun in different ways, and I don't compare them so much as accept that they are two different games and I enjoy playing each for different reasons.
I guess I shouldn't have quoted your post because most of that has nothing to do with your post, but oh well.
