Like 90% of the enchanting market these days is done through scrolls sold on the AH. It is can be extremely profitable if you know what you are doing. Enchanting isn't limited to barking in trade anymore.

I sell a lot of enchants through the AH. There's nothing special to it. The chants I've sold the most of are

1. Enchant Chest -Mighty Stats
2. Enchant Gloves - Haste
3. Enchant Gloves - Mastery

All of which I generally make about 200% markup over mats. I don't ever make anything for people in trade chat. Why undercut my own sales?

If I see someone asking for a chant in trade and I have it, and they need mats, I just charge whatever it costs on the AH to buy the scroll, minus maybe 5g or something small.

Just got JC to Northrend level, which is nice because that's where my DK just started. DEd all the rings and stuff I made to level, already made a few hundred gold in just a couple hours listing the dusts on the AH.

I'm wondering, would it be worth it to powerlevel up JC to get to current stuff since gems are selling about 3-5 times normal prices right now?

I'm sure ore is pricier too, but I'm wondering if there'd be a way to figure out the cost-benefit analysis of it all.

If you can figure out how much it would cost on your server to level it, and then just figure out roughly how much profit you can make per x amount of stacks (I like to look at 100 stacks). I remember JC being a bitch to level though, because from about right before BC ore through BC ore, the ore was almost non-existent on the AH, and the stuff that would occasionally be up was stupidly overpriced. That might just be because I'm on a low pop server though, ymmv on Illidan.

Even if you just wanted to get a handful of the highest selling cuts, you're looking at a month of doing dailies and the market could easily die back down to pre 4.3 levels by then.

Oh yeah that's true, didn't really think about that.

I'm not necessarily even thinking about cut gems, just the uncut rares are so pricey right now, even the uncommon gems uncut are selling for more than the cut rares used to.

This might be different for your server, but in my experience uncuts almost never actually sell, especially uncut rares. I'm pretty sure the only time I've actually sold uncut rares is back when I would put up full stacks for relatively cheap.

Uncommons are selling for so much because enchanting mats (specifically greater celestials) are fairly high right now. Just looking at TUJ for your server right now, greater celestials have almost tripled in price in the past 2 weeks.

I buy uncut rares all the time, but only when some goober posts them for less than it costs me to prospect.

Elementium ore was "cheap" right now, at only 80g/stack, so I bought like 20k worth. Crossing my fingers the gem and DE markets don't crash before I can get it prospected and everything. I usually don't buy in quantities quite this big, but I didn't want to go through a dry spell where all the ore was 200g+/stack leaving me without anything to make gold off of

OH MAN just found out I still have a guild bank tab full of pyrite ore, guess I'll have to get around to prospecting that sometime too. Free gold is the best gold

I invested about 30k in to 4 Blades of Wizardry. I've gotten 24k or so back, and I have 2 left. They're on the AH right now for about 8500. Not a huge profit potential but I don't think I'll lose any money as long as I can sell one more.

Rare red gems are down to about 200 on our realm, so I'm glad I didn't invest heavily while they were 300g a pop.

I think they were 300 each, I could be wrong.

Red gems are between 350 and 400 on Shadowsong, Orange are 250-300, everything else is hovering around 100g.

I bought 4 or 5 Brilliant Inferno Rubies last night for about 210g each.

10 more INT on the epic gem is simply not worth 9k gold. Period. We had a < 0.5% wipe last night on Ultraxion - I believe that's the one and only time where I've seen that something like a few INT might have made the difference over the course of the fight.

Yeah, just about anything could have made the difference when you wipe on a boss that has 100k hp left.

Hell, lusting a few seconds later woulda got loads more dmg from me since adrenaline rush would have been ready, plus potion, etc..

In the low content thread I mentioned that some lady I was in a guild with a year or two back got her daughter to start harassing me in whispers.

Today, I log on and get an ingame email from her, basically saying "wawa **** you I can't sell any glyphs".

Now I want to completely destroy any chance she ever has of selling any glyphs. For reference, here's my glyph toon on the undermine journal.

I've been playing around with the transmorg market lately, and haven't had much sucess until today, when someone paid 2000g for Burnished Leggings . Off to keep buying more random crap and putting it in the AH for insane prices.

Holy Cow did gold prices take a nose dive!

Used to be you could score 1k gold for a buck. Now it's down to 50-75 cents per 1k. Wonder what caused this. Wonder if the introduction of the real money pet had anything to do with this. (A pet that, for ten dollars, should be worth around 15k gold, but which sells for about 4-5k on my server)

Not sure about differences in our servers but on mine its been way easier to make gold since 4.3

Yesterday someone on my server was selling 3 Eternal Waters for 4g 25s total.

I bought them, and just sold 1 Crystallized Water for 4g 50s. Just made my money back and now I'm freerolling.

Also I sold an Imbued Crystal (Darkmoon Faire) for 450g. Biggest sale I've ever made. I have another one that didn't sell so I'm holding onto it until next month.

At level 50 I'm sitting on 1300g, which is a lot for me.

I always like the people who sell things for less than what they would get for vendoring it. One person on my server is constantly doing it with the bid. So I bid on it and then I get outbid. I think they are switching toons and trying to inflate the price. It's always the same person doing it so I've just stopped bidding on their items.

Another time I bid on a stack of tin bars for like 60s, won it, and turned around and sold it for like 20g. Pretty cool.

Fwiw, you can't bid on items your toons have posted unless it's on a different wow account

I'm sad that the dmf stuff is worth so little now that anyone can roll on it. Enjoyed making 4k selling my first drop.
