It probably doesn't matter much. Generally 360 graphics are slightly better, and PS3 has cool exclusives if you're into doing the challenges. So it's all personal preference.
Actually I think most publications have said the PS3 version looks slightly better on this game. I think it looks great on 360, but that's all I have Obv the PS3 version is what I'd get if I had the choice for the exclusives alone and the possibility that the PS3 might finally have a game that looks better on it than on the 360.

If you have both I'd def get it on PS3...I hope the Joker stuff comes out for 360 in some very cheap DLC.

Edit: Ok, now I've seen two pubs say it looks better on 360 and 2 say it looks better on PS3. So it's obviously unnoticeable/very tight, so it'd be some big nitting either way.

I thought it was a 7/10 definitely not amazing.

It does a lot of things very well...but each area is so shallow.
Combat system - super fluid, very awesome control method but completely shallow.

The "Stealth" component is a joke compared to even easy stealth games, let alone tricky ones.

The beatemup section bad guys felt more like filler than natural or fun, just timesinks rather than necessary.

The puzzles felt like a random extra minigame as more filler ( I think with the games setup/storyline it should be fast paced throughout, not get new toy>go find all the old areas you can now get secrets from for exp points so you can upgrade yourself ).

To casual/ generally low skilled gamers I can see how they would think it's a 10/10 best game ever but really... it isnt.

I never went back to old areas once i got a new toy so the pacing was perfect. Now that ive completed the game ive started to explore and look for all the riddler stuff.

7 seems a little low considering the amount of uninspired crap that's out there, especially with games based on comic or movie content. Without having finished it, I'd give it 8/10. I mean it's not perfect and sometimes seems to borrow more than create anything all that fresh. But it still blends everything together pretty solidly. I believe it also takes the prize for best batman game.

So far my big gripe is about the Joker. Hey Mr. J... shut up. Or at least be coded to stop repeating yourself. Not only is that annoying, it really hurts immersiveness.

A deliberate glitch in the PC version of Batman: Arkham Asylum has pirates perplexed to the point of accidentally outing themselves on the official Eidos forums.

Cheshirec_the_cat posted a thread on September 4th in the official Eidos forums for Batman: Arkham Asylum, requesting help with a peculiar problem with the PC version of the game.
Quote:
I've got a problem when it's time to use Batman's glide in the game. When I hold , like it's said to jump from one platform to another, Batman tries to open his wings again and again instead of gliding. So he fels down in a poisoning gas. If somebody could tel me, what should I do there.
As another forum poster points out, the game isn't out until the 15th, so the question is a bit suspect right off the bat, no pun intended.

Eidos admin Keir responded to the thread before closing it, explaining that the glitch wasn't so much of a glitch.
Quote:
The problem you have encountered is a hook in the copy protection, to catch out people who try and download cracked versions of the game for free.

It's not a bug in the game's code, it's a bug in your moral code.
lol. That's just great stuff!

If this game is only slightly above average I really want to hear your 10/10 games. In terms of being new, great bat mechanics, really making you feel like this is perhaps how batman feels the game is excellent. It pulls you in. It's a little shallow on game length and maybe how hard the boss fights are. The part that makes it a 9/10 is how well down to almost every detail this becomes a batman sim. Yeah they can add more but they have definitely created a near masterpiece here, and kind of moved up a step in a free-run assassin's creed like genre.

...eh.

The reason I still haven't finished this is because it never quite hooked me all the way. I wish I could put my finger on why. It's still pretty good though.

how many enemy types were in this game? it FELT like 2 or 3 and the fights weren't really that challenging (on normal lol). the game felt very flat and repetitive to me, worth a rental IMO. the fighting and stealth stuff was pretty cool, but got very repetitive very fast.

i was a huge fan of this game.... if you played it on normal the game was pretty easy, but if you play it on hard it can get a little aggravating here and there...

Spoiler:
The last fight was a real let down though... wanted to actually fight him... not just his goons again. also would have liked if batman used the titan to fight him before using the antidote, but thats just me i guess

I just wrapped up my first playthrough. Normal difficulty, did every Riddler challenge, got the final Chronicle of Arkham, etc.

My only complaint is the 360 version's "Party Pooper" achievement. It's very easy to miss; they really should have taken out the point of no return. Still, amazing game. I liked it a lot.

PS3 has the same trophy and I was pretty pissed about this too, I didn't really look at the trophies before play through, so I guess I deserve that, but that's the only game I can think of that has a one time shot at a trophy.

well i played through it on normal the first time, and decided that it was worth the hard one... didnt look at the achievements since i kind of like to figure them out my self (yeah i know.. takes forever.) but i wasnt thinking this was an achievement.. just thought it would be fun to try and take on like 20 guys or however many their were. fun fight

Fallout 3 had some one-shot bobbleheads and a point of no return, as well.

Anyone play this game? The graphics look pretty sick. Thinking of getting it but just wondering if anyone here played it and like or disliked it.

I earned 100% completion and got every achievement, and I'm still playing it. Only a few other games this decade have hooked me this much. So far, it's my pick for Game of the Year.

So yeah, you should get it.
