well my enchantress does no dps since she's using a blade of prophecy for MF but she does have a pretty sweet follower token with 208 int, 207 vit, and 20 physical resist

Mine has 91%mf and 77k hp she also has a awesome set for dps that I can't sell even though I spent 2 million on it a week ago.

Yeah ench gear is a blackhole for gold unless it's a really uber item. I'm working with a 209int 110vit focus so thats really nice.

I find the mf being even less than half whats on the item turned me off mf stacking.

Picked up a tank ring for 9million. Rings not a market I watch often but I'm taking upgrades where I can get them and seemed like a solid enough deal.

over 150/160 in both str/vit, fire resist, 40ish dex, 79 res all, 3 socket, archon armor so like 430 armor value

Saw a 3 min Diablo kill video today claiming it was the best barb build and one of the fastest kill times. Decided to try it myself but with a different build.

Got 2 min 9 sec on my 3rd attempt and 1 min 55s on a better attempt.

Wrath of the Berserker lasting over 1 min is pretty good...

i actually use that build but with dmg berserker and revenge instead of sprint. not sure what his passives are tho

Anybody have any breakdown on what actually constitues melee dmg / range dmg in the game? Does everything fit into on of those two categories?

I'm pretty sure AOE ground stuff does not count as melee or ranged.

I thought that might be the case. I'm assuming most of that counts as magical though and therefore covered by Superstition.

err just remembered desecration is physical damage (pretty sure) /annoyed

Yeah i think the poison explosions on Belial count as physical as well, because when I'd run it with String of Ears on they'd take like 40-50% of my health, but without it they'd be closer to 80%.

So am I decently geared yet? I feel like my gear is pretty ok, it's all ilvl 60 or higher, mostly 61.

My passives are all totally defensive (the two armor ones and superstition)

At this point I really just feel like I need an uber weapon, the one I have currently is 700 dps but has 270 str as well.

I assume those resistances are before war cry?

My best guess is: you're geared for act 1 inferno, maybe could get through act 2 although I think you'd probably die too much for it to be worth it, and definitely not 3.

Look into getting a better shield. For block chance you'd really like at least 25% imo, and the actual block amount on yours is very very low -- the top tier of shields can get up to 3706-4706. Also I have no idea the stats on the helm you're wearing, but you should really try to get one with a socket since the +% life is so valuable for a barb. I've seen some Helm of Commands w/ a socket that you could currently afford (some in the 300-400k range) and that would also get your chance to block higher (but again, you need block amount on your shield to be higher too or else you're not getting much damage mitigation on each block).

Beyond that, most important thing to progress is probably to try to gradually get + all resistance on as much of your equip as possible, without hurting your dps or vit in the process. That can be expensive so you'll want to farm act 1 inferno for a while I think.

I don't even know the stats on your current shield but if you get some random blue sacred shield with a high block chance, it'll probably be much better than your current one. Sacred shields are great.

a bit more block, a bit more all res, and some LoH should get you through to A3.

Yeah I breeze through act 1, act 2 is like slow going but I can manage, haven't beaten it quite yet, haven't been playing much.

Bought this belt for 6mill. I use frenzy 99% of the time so I think its a pretty interesting item. Basically trying to stay real tank/res barb with gear but use offensive passives.

So you don't get to see the damage modifier in stats or anything but I am assuming its working cause I am killing all the things.

Didn't even realize that kind of mod could spawn on a non-mighty belt. Use to think my belt was best in slot but a frenzy dmg belt could probably be comparable.

Does anyone here stack "reduce dmg from elites"? After thinking about SoE I realized that while its rather godly vs melee dmg the hit you take vs other types of dmg may not be worth it (as you can't really choose which enemies spawn). However my research indicates that reduced dmg from elites covers the affix dmg molten/arcane/etc and as such is, imo, a more desirable attribute than reducing melee damage (you take a hit vs white mobs, but if you're dying to them you're never taking down elites anyway).
