Raising flop seems fairly pointless.

Hand is fine.

I'm fine with just calling flop too. I wouldn't say it's pointless as bladesman said, but I definitely don't think it's a must raise.

BB can have some random trash or 5x, 2x, random PP's 66-JJ, or air and he could fold them to a flop raise where he would likely not just x/f them ott if we called IP. And we give the SB a chance to come along.

We can raise a little bigger ott as played. and otr I doubt he's randomly bluffing (though it's definitely possible for some fish). And I doubt he decides to just ship it in with QTo or something (ime most fish are just gonna x/snap instead). So we can probably fold, but who knows, fish do stupid **** and he might think he can get this through since our turn sizing may not look super strong to him.

I see that fish donk a ton on these kinds of flop and as soon as I started raising they are gone. Although I don't want to be paying off too often but it just sucks that I'm almost top of my range here and can't imagine him having too many 5s with that **** line.

Lol me too lol but it's lol irrelevant

Getting it in on the flop is obviously fine but there's neither need nor reason to do anything that folds any part of his range, which raising does at least sometimes.

If he bets the same % of pot in the turn, he's set for all in on the river. If he bets like he did, then we click it back and no problem.

I guess maybe he might stack some draws on the flop, but he also might not. But if you'd like to tell me why it's a "must raise" then go ahead.

it's not a must raise imo, but i prefer it slightly to calling; i expect some halfstack unknown to be a fish who won't donk/fold that often, but when he does it's also sometimes with a hand he won't bet the turn
