, i check, he bets $10, i make it $30, he calls

turn A

, i bet $54, he calls

river 2

, i think about betting but i check. he bets $142.

now timing and experience leads me to believe hes very very very polarized here... how ****ing ******ed is a call here...?

i mean, i really really hate your flop/turn play vs someone like this unless you're planning on putting a bunch of money in on these rivers either by c/cing or shoving

and i wouldn't be surprised to be owned by 9x here which is the gay thing about this

Yeah the ****ty thing is a guy like this may "bluff" the river with 9x or 4x to fold out a Q since an ace hit and you checked the river.

I know what you are thining Luego. How can he flat twice then bomb THIS river with any sort of hand. Believe me, they can. He could even be bluffing w/ a better hand than you. People at 1 2 suck, try not to FPS them too much because its REALLY difficult to put them on a thought process. Also I dont think flop c/r + turn barrel is bad, EXCEPT that we dont know if villain is folding a draw or not on the turn so some fish could wind up accidentally owning us.

Its not impossible this guy has Ax or something. Id fold river.

Also, villain could have AQ, A9, Axhh or maybe even some ******ed bet with a queen, JJ, who knows. Too much rando stuff he can flip for you to hero call here.

I actually think its pretty close and understand your reasoning. @ the same time tho these players will sometimes bluff better hands. If you've seen him insta check back like 9x or Ax before, then I don't hate it. I actually think shoving is slightly better that calling here. I dunno where I put folding in this though.

Calling here could get v expensive. I mean, it'll cost a fortune to have the dog blood removed from your carpet when he flips over 9x, and then you've got to buy a new dog.

i like the bluff but think you can bet lots less on the turn. river is fun, sometimes I call sometimes I fold, sometimes I shove. Vs this guy, it really doesn't matter, specifically because his range isn't polarized so much as it's literally atc that he calls flop/turn with, which is often atc. If you have the insta timing thing, call I guess, sometimes you lose to 4x but w/e.

If you are thinking of calling this river bet, why not bet yourself?

With given action you will rarely (if ever) get bluff raised here and yet you don't know if you are strong enough to call a bet. Pretty much you are not strong enough to induce and though you may be strong enough to showdown vs this guy (probably not) you cannot guarantee to see one.

I wouldn't try to out think a non thinker.

I dont really love the flop c/r against that sort of player and on the river the fish is bluffing with the best hand too often to call imo.
