villian 17/14/ flop 2.7. turn 1.9. river 2
3bet 7 F3bet 62 4bet 19 F4bet 33
so when he call the 4bet, i know i am running into his top range.
i'm beating AK, AQ, TT
losing to AJ, JJ+
should i at least fire out a probe bet to see where i stand....
villian does not check raise alot, but i have a feeling that he is gonna CR me here.
is my line too weak passive?
villian is a reg and a winning player

yeah checking and folding is the only option here, it seems unlikely to me that he flats a 4bet oop with TT or AQ, I'd put his range at JJ+ AK at the widest, and JJ/AK I would normally take out of his range. Betting anywhere once he calls the 4bet is spew and once he bets you need to fold

Your 4-bet is way too small after you make it $13.5, there is $19.75, and he has to call $7.75 more getting than 2.5:1 just to see the flop.

If you want to 4-bet as a bluff you need to make it at least $15 or $16.

As played once you check the flop behind you hand looks like AK/AQ and if I was villain I would be betting close to 100% of my hands on the turn to fold out all of your overcards and pocket 9 type hands.

You really can't hope to profitably make these 4-bets if you give up on flop when you make top pair. I am calling this turn and then calling most rivers if he fires again.
