V is reg. What is your calling range here? If villain is good reg, he is supposed to bluff QQ/KK here very often. Different story is whether NL25z reg will do that.

If he's supposed to bluff QQ, I guess that makes A8 the best one pair hand. If he does bluff that, then calling with clubs is better, as he won't bluff those suits being a smarty pants.

Bet turn small at a high frequency. People under XR.

Calling range are hands that block KQ.

I was thinking that while tanking (based on my GTO lab work). I did check that spot and indeed V is supposed to bluff most of KK,QQ,KTs and value KQ.

Don't know if I'd be calling with your hand there. If we look at MDF, it would be roughly 30% here, and I'm not sure whether you want to choose your defends linearly. You should have a decent amount of QJ/KJ/QT/KT, but the question with those is whether you beat all the bluffs, which if you don't, makes them considerably less appealing as calls. Clearly, any AQ/AK you have would make great calls, but how many of those don't 4bet pre, or raise flop, or bet turn, I don't know. But I'd imagine not many.

In any case, if you assume villain could bluff QQ/KK (and for this sizing, he might well do), or even KJ/QJ/KT/QT type hands, I think you may have to bluff catch a little more linearly than you would like. You should have at least some 2 pairs (mainly JTs and some T9s), the occasional slowplayed set from flop/turn or JJ, maybe even an occasional slowplayed QQ/KK. All of those are better calls than your hand I think, the next question is how many Ax do you take this line with (don't 4bet pre, don't raise flop, don't bet turn). My guess is not too many, so I can see how this hand may just about squeeze into your calling range.

First thing that came to mind was over betting turn. Unblocking hands like KQ, JJ , etc is nice. And blocking AA and clubs as well. I dont think I like betting small ott. Perhaps something like 75% might have similar FE at a lower cost. I guess it depends on if pool is folding enough ott.

Feels like villian caught a set of jacks on river and didnt know what to do lol...id just bet small with your TPNFD IP to define his hand strength, if you got check raise he minimally have AK or set of tens, your problem was didnt bet the turn yourself
