TT OOP facing ridiculous overbets

Villain has only been at the table for one orbit or so, nothing out of the ordinary happened up to this point.
I decided not to cbet this flop but instead go for the check/call and re-evaluate on the turn. I figured I was gonna stack off if the turn bricks and he keeps overpotting it but with the additional overcard, I thought there is a chance he might have caught something. Don't really know what to make of his play.
