BTN is 20/13 over 30 hands, 33% steal attempt. So looks pretty standard and a small sample.

I always feel awkward two barreling this b/c I don't think I'm getting called by worse often. Is this standard? Can I call a river bet if it bricks?

PokerStars - $0.50 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

SB: $113.96
Hero (BB): $51.11
UTG: $51.25
CO: $35.74
BTN: $63.23

SB posts SB $0.25, Hero posts BB $0.50

Pre Flop: ($0.75) Hero has T T

fold, fold, BTN raises to $1.25, fold, Hero raises to $4.00, BTN calls $2.75

Flop: ($8.25, 2 players) 5 K 9
Hero bets $5.50, BTN calls $5.50

Turn: ($19.25, 2 players) K
Hero checks, BTN bets $12.00, Hero calls $12.00

River: ($43.25, 2 players) Q
Hero checks, BTN bets $41.73 and is all-in, fold

BTN wins $41.30

call pre without compelling reasons to do otherwise.

if you feel awkward oop w/ TT in 3bet pots why are you doing it to yourself? 3b the correct players

edit: i find the preflop line here has a lot of mixed opinions, so be prepared

It's awkward in many situations, as with many hands when you're playing OOP. That doesn't mean I think it's unprofitable, and the more I play these hands the better feel I'll have for these spots.

I think TT is too good to not raise for value vs relatively unknown in steal situations, I'd consider flatting a raise from a different position. So you're advocating only 3betting cally donks here?

im advocating 3b the correct players, dont have to be donks. guys who dont fold to 3bets and like to float are good ones.

but against an unknown with reggish or decent stats i would hold off 3b TT and just play post flop.

if you derive your reason/s to 3b from the thinking "TT is too good not to raise", thats flawed.
