i think with $7.35 in the pot already your best off leading the turn here. wouldn't want to see him check behind here on the turn ever because of all the draws on the board. protect your hand in this spot

Unless Villain has 99-88 specifically or made a loose flop peel or loose preflop call of your 3-bet, it's hard for him not to have a boatload of outs on the turn (and even 88 has 6 outs) if he doesn't already have you crushed.

The play relies on the idea that Villain will semibluff-push hands like AdQd. If he'll ever take a free card instead, then I prefer just open-pushing here.

It is kind of a sucky spot, though. I mean, I think you're probably a dog to Villain's range on the turn, prior to any action.
