Hi,

Not many hands on this player, seems pretty tight (18/14, 3bet 8%). I simply thought my hand was never good at showdown + "I have all the best hands here, they have to respect this". I don't like they call the small overbet on the turn, but... oh well.

In 3 way a do prefer checking the flop and give up, if one of this guy is rec, his range is full of offsuit Broadway and Ax that will never fold.

On this texture the idea of using PP as bluff is correct in theory but you should use the lower ones like 55,66 (depends on your PFR from UTG), I do like to open the lower ones at low freq.

Exist an universe where this hand goes ch/ch/ch 3 street and you win vs 55 and missed ****

I don't think you should be betting flop very often, if ever. Definitely never with this hand. There are way too many pair+gutshot hands that are going to call too often on the flop and turn. As played I'd give up turn, but once you bet the turn I think you should probably shove river. I think you get enough folds from hands like KQ, KJ, QT, JT, weak Ax, and probably AQ and AJ most of the time. I wouldn't be surprised to see 2-pairs fold at least sometimes too. BTN is very capped here after calling a small bet on the flop when none of his range improves to beat value.

Could you explain this last sentence? Are you saying that his range has the same value post-flop as it did pre-flop given board texture?

I considered shoving river but did not have the courage to bet that big (leak of mine I guess). Results: BTN tanked and folded. Thanks for the answers!

@L94E : I almost never open pp < 77 from UTG, in a sense 88 is very near the bottom of my range here
