Played this hand a little earlier and wasn't sure if I should have folded/flatted/shoved on flop. SB is playing 12/9 over 187 hands and UTG is 26/2 over 59 hands.

Merge - $0.50 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

UTG: $52.40
Hero (MP): $88.49
CO: $27.55
BTN: $20.56
SB: $50.00
BB: $50.00

SB posts SB $0.25, BB posts BB $0.50, CO posts DB $0.75

Pre Flop: ($1.50) Hero has K K

UTG calls $0.50, Hero raises to $3.00, fold, fold, SB calls $2.75, BB calls $2.50, UTG calls $2.50

Flop: ($12.75, 4 players) 8 9 J
SB checks, BB checks, UTG bets $12.00, Hero raises to $30.00, SB raises to $47.00 and is all-in, fold, UTG raises to $49.40 and is all-in, Hero calls $19.40

Turn: ($158.55, 3 players) T

River: ($158.55, 3 players) T

Looking back I feel like I probably should have just flatted flop and re-evaluated but I'd like some feedback on what others would have done in this spot,

Well imo i would call if there is no flushdraw out, but in this case with a flush out i raise, but i raise more. Thats how i would play it.

This is a tricky spot because if you do flat on the flop you have just given any draws on that juicy board great odds to call. Then what do you say to yourself when the 10 makes the 4 straight? Would you say "Damn, I should have raised to push out the draws."

Well if he call our flat we have great EQ to win it if he has a flush draw, right?...

if you're going to raise more than half of your effective stack why not just shove. it does a better job of getting value and doesn't put you in this awkward position when people shove over you when they should know that they have zero fold equity.

Yeah that's a good point, I hadn't considered that during the hand.
