Why? If we flat the villain, they have $1.55 behind in a $8.55 pot. If we think we are ahead of the drooler's range, why would we let him keep his $1.55 by checking behind us on the river.

I think that you could have bet more on the turn to immediately commit the drooling short stack quicker. What rivers are you folding 5.5 to 1 on?

Don't post a spoiler until everyone has responded as it may skew your responses. As a general guideline when a loose passive player raises you on the turn your one pair hand is beat. min raise is even scarier because they dont want to blow you off the pot. So that means they got the nuts.

When a loose passive player bets, they have exactly what just came in. In this case I would have actually put them on straight, as that is the most likely draw that just came in, although I don't discount two pair or a flush.

Pretty easy fold, although the stack sizes make this one pretty tough.

FWIW, I played 100k hands last month and I was NEVER ahead when I stacked off TPTK (more specifically AK) for 100bb, when I say never I do mean 0 times. At the micros people are just not stacking off 1 pair type hands so if they are showing alot of strength its probally best to fold and pick a better spot.

All this means is your getting it in vs the wrong opponents. I've won 100bb with 2nd pair many times. Its all villain dependent.

aye knew im usually beat by a passive raising, was wondering more about the commitment side of things in situations like this on the turn. I felt i may have put too much in to go back.

The standard answer is that once you put in 40% of the effective stacks, then you shouldn't fold. I take this with a grain of salt though. There are situations I am perfectly fine folding with more of my stack in the middle.

The reraise on the turn is pretty ugly, not getting called by KQ which is the best genuine hand you can beat. Got to be thinking to fold to the turn raise, but if you're not then call them down with that 'I know I'm beat but...' attitude because only a bluff is folding to the re pop on the turn.

villain is not folding unless he is pure bluffing with air.
