Tough turn spot Tough turn spot

This is a spot where I really don't know what's the best option. OOP you flop 2ndpair/weak kicker, you C-bet; get call : What's your turn play ?
I usually just check-fold and give villain credit for TP or something but it seems weak. + most good players will fire the turn with any 2 cards when I check to them. In this case, the turn completes some draws but it also give me a weak str8 draw.
So I guess it's kind of a spot where I find myself and don't know what to do.

Also lets say the turn was a blank like 2c, how does it affect my turn play, comparing to the 5d ?

This is why being OOP sucks. You pretty much have to c/f here because the other options are all -ev imo. I agree its a pretty bleh spot though.

Yeah that's my standard line to c/f. But was wondering if it was optimal. I think this is one of the best example of how much being OOP sucks, as you said.

I think bet/folding the turn here is pretty optimal in a vacuum (i.e. not considering river play) as you're effectively semibluffing with 9 (ish) outs here.

Once the river hits, you can pretty confidently bet/? or c/c (obviously need a read here...) w/any 9,8,7h, or 7d, and you can b/3b 7c or 7s.

Checking the turn here is too exploitable, and you really need a read on your opponent to determine proper play here. If he's one to check draws or random missed cards he decided to float with behind on the turn, checking is probably best. However, if he's one to float/steal, bet/folding the turn is probably the best play and is probably my default play against an unknown at uNL.

Thanks PKS Ace, I agree that checking the turn is very exploitable and that betting the turn as a semibluff seems like a good line, + if we're called I don't really see him making a big bluff on the river or value betting a weak ace. Basically my point is that there is additional benefits from betting the turn because:
1) It might gives us a chance to get a free showdown if he calls the turn.
2) If he was floating with air or has a weak hand we'll probably take the pot down.
3) We have some outs to improve on the river if he calls the turn.

Does it make sense or the c/f on the turn is best ?

I like a b/f. I think he folds most aces that aren't two pair hands unless he has some sort of read. He's only raising with 2pair/straights/AK?? if he doesn't 3bet pre.

edit: So many people float nowadays too just to take it away from you on later streets. So b/f is best.
