Villain was horrible. 50/17 over 205 hands. He limpep and called raises with hands like 52o, Q6s and called 3B with 85o.
I didn't like the Check raise much but I called because we were deep and I wasn't necessarily beaten. The Turn is a great card, he bet and I raised a lot and he just called. The river completed the FD and he checked. Can I shove for value here? or it's better to check back?

valueshove seems fine especially since you describe as villain so horrible he might hero with random pairs/2pairs. he would certainly shove turn with straight.
would also expect a river shove if he made a flush.
pretty good spot for a shove, but there is a small chance he has a flush and played it ridiculously. still a good spot.

Shove.

Fish like him would (in 90% of the time) open shove river if they hitted their flush or w/e.

Well I checked back and he had TT. Don't know why he didnt' shove turn... I guess I should have shove, but I was afraid of a flush.

I hate it when I read an opening post and think "well obviously you should shove" and then read on to see a bunch of posters disagreeing with that idea.

This was not one of those times.

Another thing, on the turn, if I shove, would it be horrible? I know it would be a huge overbet and it doesn't make much sense, but he was so bad that I thought there was a chance of him calling.

I don't really think that's necessary when you can just shove any river..

Not that bad this type of villain who limp calls tons are looking to hit what they think are disguised 2 pair hands flushes or straits. So they tend to only take this check raise line when they connected so sometimes it good to take a line that looks fos or an overplayed AA KK QQ AJ to get called by his 2 pair or set.

But really your only wanting to do it to get away from facing this river decision and the flush shouldnt of entered your mind. Sure he can have it on occasions but those will be very few and far between especially with this type of villain taking this line. It's going to be the total stations who turn up with random crap that beats you here and they wont take this line either they just call bd draws and hit
