In retrospect I probably shouldn't have spewed so hard here. Basically you can guess what he had (AK). Standard cooler, or is it possible to find a fold here? I assumed since it was 3 way, even if one did have a straight I still had some equity in hitting a boat.

44/15 + top set + action on the flop is a fistpump. Even if you assign a tight range to the opponent you'll find plenty of worse hands (lower sets particularly) in his range. Against a range of AK and other sets you're exactly flipping.

Even if you assign a range of exactly AK, there's so much money in the pot preflop and you get such good odds to suck out, that you could even call if the SB open shoves the flop and shows you AK.

Learn to understand pot odds better, poker is not just a game of having the best hand, a worse hand can call if it gets the right odds to suck out.
