Help! This hand was just horrible. I got sucked in by the fact I had just flopped top pair with AK with the NFD too in a 3bet pot.
The open-raiser was a 34/20 fishtard.
Some stats on the BB villain: 1.6k hands, running 14/11. Squeeze of 3.3%, overall 3bet of 4.8%, resteal 12%, flop Cbet 60%, turn Cbet 69%.

There are 2 points I may have made a mistake:

1) Calling the squeeze preflop. My thought process is, AKo has 42% equity against the top 3.3% of hands (assuming Villains squeeze range is the top 3.3%). I'm getting 1.8:1 preflop and I have position, so I called. Of course this is exactly the kind of RIO horribleness that can happen when you hit with AK, so is that why I should have folded pre? Because villain will only build a big pot on an A or K high board if he can beat TP?

2) Calling the turn barrel. I expect this was a ****-up. Is this a really bad call?

This isn't too bad just shove the turn though no point leaving 7 behind but few questions.

    1. Why no 3b pre
    2. Why no backraise

    1) I'd rather play in a deeper SPR pot against such a fishy player. If I 3bet, yes I make money the times he folds, but the times he calls I'm now in a smaller SPR pot and I'm still missing the flop 70% of the time. And in my experience Villains don't pay off much in 3bet pots on A or K high boards, even if they are fish. I just think I can make more money by flatting rather than 3betting.

    2) Hmm, I would never backraise here. BB's squeeze range is pretty strong at only 3.3%. OR is a fish so the BB is probably not bluff-squeezing, especially given he's OOP. His range is 99+/AQs+. If I backraise is he ever folding? Won't I just be creating an AI pot preflop where I'm a slight underdog? I'd rather see a flop getting 1.8:1 and try to catch an A or K, and MAYBE bluff some of the times I miss.

Pre, I'd 3-bet. If I didn't, I'd backraise or fold. Given he has 3.3% squeeze over a large sample, it's a fold for me, I have position but don't have initiative.
Anyway, I think I would play it like you postflop, but I also know that most of my losses come from spots like these. Maybe it's time to find that fold button.
