Just wondering what peeps are think are the most reliable timing related tells in different spots hu?

And how peeps like to approach timing when playing?, so as to not give away any unnecessary info or how you use timing to level your opponent?

Thanks

Gio

Can be extremely dicey online. Is it a timing tell or an internet connection issue? Is it a timing tell or a bad bet slider? Is it a timing tell or a villain who is feigning a timing tell? Do you think the villain is thinking on Level 1 but is really Level 2. Or vice versa. Very difficult. Taken together with the board, hand range, perceived hand range, and bet size it may be a piece of the puzzle. Or it could be disinformation. Or someone who has Verizon as an Internet provider.

Yea I agree, mostly fast calls are medium strength/draw type hands, but other than that it can mostly be villian dependent.

So if they seem to call quickly a lot and then take time to check in spots where they could have a strong hand I usually tread lightly. Once I know it isn't an internet thing I can use timing tells.

Each player's timing means different things from one another. First, you have to recognize their baseline timing and then make assumptions when they take an amount of time that deviates from the norm. Timing is definitely a key part of hand reading that can have a large effect, particularly when the opponent isn't playing on other tables.

If you want some general, broad tell that is correct more often than not. insta call = weak, insta raise = strong. Note, just because they're weak, it doesn't mean they are going to fold. Sometimes ya win, sometimes ya lose.

Yep, +1 in everything you said, just wanna add that i think good players will use reverse time tell some % of the hands they play if they notice their opponents are paying attention to stuff like this.

But weak players are not gonna be aware about hero noticing their time tells, i have had some soulreads from time tells, and 3bet them everytime and it worked 100% vs weak players HU, vs good regs did reverse tells (it worked when not abusing of it but sometimes i just did it too often and was caught).
