Again before i get flamed, i am a limit player and i SUCK at NL. Any help or advice would be really great, even if it's obvious.

I just sat down so i only had 4 hands on villain. Is this a terrible spot for a check raise? I have no idea what his raising range is, but if he doesn't have an OP he'll fold, and i'll win whatever he bets. If he does have an overpair (but not AA) i have 10 outs, so i'm actually 40%. I didn't realize until after that if he has AA, the 3 makes a straight, and 2 of my straight outs are gone. But AA is just a small part of his range. His range can't be ALL pairs either.

I was thinking cr to about $15. His stack is only $30, so if i get pushed it's an easy call. Or is this just a stupid spot to try this? Should i just bet out the pot instead? Check/fold?

With his stack size, a c/r is bad. He's probably stacking off with most overpairs here too, so I'm not sure if you have a lot of FE. I probably c/f bc I don't think you have implied odds here or c/c a 1/2 pot bet.

I am not calling the raise in middle position without 2 or more (preferably more) callers in the first place.

Since you did call its a hard place to be, might be in lead with small pair and open ender against over cards (AK etc). You might be behind with small pair and draw against bigger over pair. Calling out of position heads-up with 3s is not really good move to begin with unless the player is laggy IMO.

As played I lead out with bet of 3 and fold to any raise. If he just calls then hope you hit your striaght draw...

I think this is a pretty big leak in my game. I set mine WAY too much. I know most ppl don't stack off overpairs. I think i need to make something like 11.5-1 if i set to make up my pf call.

Can i get a little more advice on what situations i should be calling small PP's? Raise + 2 calls?

I would normally raise this. FWIW if he calls pre and raises a flop bet I'm comfortable stacking off.
Calling to set mine here is bad because he has only 60BB and also b/c you don't know much about him. Unless he is really tight he is probably raising you with a hell of a lot more than overpairs which means even when you hit your set and play back you might not get paid off.

As played I would prefer leading right into him. If he makes a big raise and seems committed to his hand you can lay it down.
