What is your hand?
I would tend to check a lot otf. Its really bad for us. Sizing is too big otf. If your question is what is the weakest hand you should stack off. You pretty much call of what you were value betting for that size which is sets+ maybe you should make light call with some combo draws. I guess you could play some OP like this. In theory they are probably 0ev, i would fold them in practice.

I know your hiding your cards because it's a how would you play your whole range excercise, but we need em to help w the river call so we know what blockers we have

Flop sucks for our range so I'm checking here almost always..

Turn is gross.. I kinda feel like why doe's the raise come now on this texture and not on the flop given how villains tend to play straight forward on such textures vs what on average will be a strong range.

How would villain view your tenencies? I have called in similar spots and seen KK+ trying to be tricky or whatever.. But we're crushed or in bad shape too often in reality..

I am surprised to hear that ppl are checking here with almost their entire range it seems. If we are CO we will also hit this board a decent amount.

you don't go that much bigger at even 200bb. It's like 2.5--->8.5 with similar ranges.

This is only 130bb and you went 11bb

Not really when you consider combos. At 100bb it's 62 vs 136 combos.

Now consider your massive 3bet and it makes HJ's range even tighter. You should just range X here (HJ is supposed to donk here a ton too).

Agree with DooDooPoker here 100%.. This hits a small portion or our range that we could use to bluff with on occasion. Are you using this size always or selectively?

My default is 1/3 when cbetting range, but on boards where I cbet less often I size up.

From going through this thread, you have made 3 statements which either misapplies a concept or is flat out incorrect. You seem to be painting with too broad a brush, poker is a lot more nuanced.

The quoted statement isn't a good heuristic. There's plenty of spots where you go mixed for 1/3. Just because you do something less often doesn't necessarily mean you size up.

This does not surprise me, I consistently misapply things I am learning. What resources would you recommend for flop sizing?

I also agree that I am oversimplifying, but that is because I definitely see people overthinking the game when that isnt really needed to beat most players.

It's all good at least you are trying to learn.

I just figured out how to read HUD stats (advanced ones) last month lol.

I think everyone learns differently. I just write down hands if I'm not sure about them or tag them in my tracker. Then I'll look them up on GTO Wizard + run sims on my own to try to understand it.

Another way to improve at poker is to think about it away from the table or listen to other people talk about the game.

I listen to Tactical Tuesday, it's a Chasing Poker Greatness podcast and the guys play 1knl/2knl on bovada and go over tough hands they played.

checking range on the flop is kinda crazy and taking things too far imo
HJ should ditch a lot of middle pocket pairs vs our large 3bet + high rake so it's not like we get crushed on this flop
