Pick a better hand to squeeze with unless you have a good read on villains. In this case, since BTN called, you probably didn't have a good read that he was likely to fold.

As played I bet ~1/2 pot on flop and shove over a raise.

^J6s is one of my favourite junk hands to squeeze. :P

Bet/call flop if he shoves or just shove over him.

This is the dream flop for your hand, so I'd play it as if you had Aces;

~$5 flop cbet, it's slightly higher than I'd normally cbet in this position if I really did have Aces, but betting $5 will give you a turn pot of ~$17, with ~$17 behind, making a turn shove look nice.

I absolutely wouldn't go for a flop check raise; your hand will look too much like AKcc kinda thing. I mean, are you check raising this flop with AKo/QQ-AA?

And if I cbet this flop, and villian shoved, I'm def calling; we're a very slight underdog vs JJ-AA, a slight favorite against 88-TT, and we've got a billion outs against sets.

Having got this far, I'm happy to get the money in on this flop; we've got outs against everything, we've got FE, and if we show our hand down, we're gonna get mroe value in 3bet pots down the track with our legit hands.

This is the way forward here imo. I don't mind the squeeze with the junky hand, as it is pretty much a pre-flop play, however it will cost you money in the long run if the villain keeps calling as their continuation range will crush your junk a high % of the time, so work more on picking the right spot.
