Villain was 46/31/6.8 over the 100 or so hands i had played against him. I felt pretty good about how I played this until i thought about it more afterwards.

If this was a pure steal attempt it wouldn't be terrible to open raise, but with the UTG limper fold pre-flop. Why do you want to play a small ace OOP?

As played the cbet OOP with low pair against two opponents is spewy.
Why check the turn when your hand hits? You already know villain likes his hand because of the flat call. If you're going to check-raise, you should raise more like 2.5-3 times the pot.

River check/crying call or check/fold depending on villain's bet size, but it looks like he was going all-in even if you checked, so most likely check/fold, but yeah it's hard to lay down the 4s full.

Best to just fold pre-flop to avoid these difficult situations.
