he can rep plenty of draws if he raises the flop and villain will never put him on AK so i think it's pefectly fine but calling isn't bad either.

ofc he does, but if your not v bluffy all around pple generally give you more credit for a hand. I sometimes catch myself thinking arrrrriiiin in certain spots vs some guy with a W$WSF of 48+, while theyr actually not bluffraising with air as much as you might think.

I'm not saying I would always fold AK/AQ to a flop raise , but I dont think shoving it in this spot is a good play for villain and, for hero, probably a passive line is better to get value from AQ.
lol basically all of this is just so not true. 1) there are a ton of draws that people will be stacking off with here, im sure you can figure them out. 2) so you wouldnt always fold AQ/AK to a flop raise here.....instead you flat call OOP and hope to avoid a billion scare cards and hope him to bet so you can c/r ai??? or wait no you prolly want him to check to give himself a free card to get to cheap showdown....i mean ur logic just makes zero sense here. i feel like your just digging yourself a deeper hole. u should prolly just give up ur argument imo.

I just got stacked in UTG position by UTG+1 after he flatted pre and raised flop with AK and I shoved my flush draw. I now see the error of my ways and completely retract everything I said in this thread. I was dead wrong.Karma ftw. Raising flop to call shove is optimal

I can't for the life of me understand why we wouldn't raise this flop 100% of the time with AK when we're bet into.

Raising your opponent here will help you define where you stand.
