Should I slow down with AK? Should I slow down with AK?

10NL Rush player.
I have my standard way of playing AK and it is profitable:
make a reraise of 4bb in an unraised pot, or 6-10bb in a pot with limpers or early raisers.

If I connect on the flop, make a potsize bet
If not and I'm in position, make a good-sized cbet and try to take it down there

I usually don't double barrel unless I think they're on a draw and I can get 'em off it.

Like I said, I'm making money with this line, but when I do make tptk, I wonder if I should slow down. I usually make a pot size bet and it folds all over to me. Should I make a smaller bet IP? Should I check OOP and go for a check raise?

Listen if you are being profitable with this line then stay with it! If you can profitably play AK then great!

However if you have a strong hand like top pair on a dry board and feel you dominate your opponents range then checking the flop and betting the turn and river can help you get called down light.

Why would you slow down?

Them folding is varience too. Stick with your plan.
If the board is super dry villain can't have anything to call you with you can check it back some times, but being aggressive w/ TPTK+ is always a good plan.

There's a COTW on playing AK as well.
