villain is 42/17/1/fcb 0/1 over 24 hands

my default here is to check it back on turn but i've never really asked for anyones opinion on this spot. so basically is this a profitable barrell or not? i'm assuming i should be barrelling the turn when i'm oop but if you think that's incorrect aswell please let me know why.

I don't like a 2nd barrel here nearly as much. You don't have as much equity as you did in the other hand (NFD + over), you're IP, and this board connects a lot better with a 42/17 range. Qx and straight draws are big parts of his range, and he might be too dumb/stubborn to even fold Tx.

Check and peel a K, ldo

Checking back flop is not awful. Checking back turn is good as board did not change at all.
