If you play/have played (and have your hands saved) NL2 zoom on PokerStars, I'd like your help finding out how much the success rate of opening sizes affects successful steal %.

The requirements are:
-PokerStars NL2 zoom player
-Has HUD w/ at least 10k hands at NL2 zoom
-Your open size on the BTN is 3bb+1bb per limper
-No more than a year old stats

So, what I'd like you to do is:
-Open your HUD (I use HM2, if you use others it might be a bit different)
-Click on the reports tab
-Right click your NL2 stats, and click "Report Statistics..."
-Use the search in the top right
-Search for "BTN steal" (Might be different if you don't use HM2, just search steal if it doesn't work)
-Add "BTN steal %" and "BTN steal success %"
-Post those numbers here

What I'm looking to find here is the change in successful steal % between 2.5bb+1bb per limper and 3bb+1bb per limper.

-If we open to 3BB, we risk 3 to win 1.5, so we need our steal to work 67% of the time, ignoring post flop value.
-If we open to 2.5BB, we risk 2.5 to win 1.5, so we need our steal to work 63% of the time, ignoring post flop value.

So, if our steal success is less than 4% less successful when we use 2.5bb as our steal size, it might be a more profitable open size than 3bb. If it's more than 4%, 3bb is probably a better size to use at NL2. Keep in mind, these numbers completely ignore post flop value, so if it's close we can discuss which we prefer and why.

I personally open for 2.5bb and my stats are:
-22.2k hands
-52.0% BTN steal
-49.7% BTN steal success

I just around 10k hands at NL2 zoom hands with a win rate of about 35bb/100 if I remember correctly.

But I think I opened first in for 2.5x OTB but don't remember exactly, I play 5NL regular tables now, but regular bets UTG, MP or CO and with limpers OTB it was 3x+1BB/limper

But if you want my stats I'll post them tomorrow when I wake up (about 11am CET).

I just went through my stats and I did open for 3BB OTB when I played NL2 zoom. I've changed to 2.5 now in NL 5 normal though. Could be interesting with more of this info for other levels.

Very close to those 4%, huh

20 k hands, 2 bb raise from button, 46% button steal success.
But here on SB with 3 bb, 62% Steal sucess ?

My results are not that great, still won, but i was playing bad most of the time, because not really serious taking.

Http did you consider betting better hands higher and worse lower? They will not read it at nl2 zoom.

Haven't been changing my opening sizes yet. I've moved onto regular tables just very recently and have been 3-betting bigger with premiums, and opening bigger with fishy limpers behind. I will definetely try it more, especially because I've been playing with a lot more whales/fishes who won't adapt.

I often raise little more with good hands at nl2 late, just because they dont observe me if i bet 2 or 2.5 bb at button.
If you raise like 2 bb and they call lighter on bb, its also not that bad, you have position and can cbet or valuebet good.
