My opponents stats: 55 VPIP, 18 PFR, 0 3bet

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.02 BB (6 handed) - Party-Poker Converter Tool from http://www.flopturnriver.com

Button ($0.40)
Hero (CO) ($1.86)
MP ($1.70)
BB ($0.41)
UTG ($7.63)
SB ($1.56)

Preflop: Hero is CO with Q, Q
2 folds, Hero bets $0.06, 1 fold, SB calls $0.05, 1 fold

Flop: ($0.14) 6, 9, 2 (2 players)
SB bets $0.10, Hero raises $0.25, SB calls $0.15

Turn: ($0.64) 7 (2 players)
SB bets $0.45, Hero folds

Total pot: $0.64

Tried to put him on a hand and with that high VPIP and thought he'd be calling me preflop with T8 78 and PPs. When he donks and I re-raise and he just calls instantly I thought he's on a draw/slow playing because he didn't 3bet. When he instantly donks me again OTT I could see his straight hitting some of the time so I put him on a straight/set/overpair and folded.

I'm pretty sure this was a really bad fold and I should've called/shoved the turn and seen what happened on the river but just wondering what you guys think he has/what I should do in these type of spots

Assuming the number of hands for those stats is sufficient, villain is a fish.

On the flop, think range. Villain is mega wide and sets only make a tiny bit of his range. Not doing the math for fish this wide but I guess 5% or less.

On the flop you are massively ahead of his calling range (poker stove 80%+) and the turn doesn't change much (in terms of equity).

His donk bets could mean anything, weak, strong, draw, bluff...literally anything, but with that sort of equity against this sort of fish, you have to play for stacks.

It don't get any better or any easier. If he stacks you and it gets to you, it's time to work on your mental side of the game.

raise donk bet bigger ~4x

flat turn and re-evaluate on river, with a propensity for folding.

Ya I prob shove turn also. Don't see villain folding T9, 98, 87, 97, TT. All sorts of hands for a recreational player to snap you off with
