Absolute Life Poker 0.10/0.20, hand converted by the iPoker Converter at Talking-Poker

saw flop | saw showdown

Button ($25.90)
SB Hero ($19.70)
BB ($40.12)
UTG UTG ($34.57)
UTG+1 ($22.74)
CO ($28.28)

Preflop: Hero is in the SB with Q Q
UTG raises to 0.80, 2 folds, Button raises to 2.50, Hero?

UTG is 16/3/0.44 over 50 hands, havent seen him raise or become involved in any decent sized pots until this point.

Button is 21/16/2 also over 50 hands, solid enough, have seen him using position to take down a couple of pots but i believe he would be observant enough to notice that UTG is on the tight side.

So whats your play here?

Shove?

Do you 4 bet and if so how much?

Cold call and see how UTG reacts?

Fold, or is that weak tight?

Sick spot to be in... you could call and see how utg reacts and if he shoves you can fold.... you can call if utg calls he more then likely has AK then and who knows what dealer has.. If you havn't seen the button 3-bet like in the last 100 hands then he prob has a real good hand.. especially if he is 3-betting an UTG raise but i like a

4-bet to 1.5x the buttons raise and call an all in if youve seen button 3-bet in past 100 hands or so but if not a fold can't be too awful in this spot. There are better places to get your money in good

Tbh I have been doing everything... 4betting, calling and folding. It seems like every time I get into a big pot postflop, I run into aces from the 3bettor. I don't mind folding... it's not like it's exploitable if they get you to fold QQ, cause they won't know the difference between folding QQ from T6o here.

This is tough cause every possible action has some merit. I would lean towards call/reeval flop or fold simply because these guys seem pretty tight. If they were just a little bit looser I would likley err on the side of aggression and bump it up. I'm not accustomed to stack sizes like that so I'm not sure how much I would raise to though.

I'd fold preflop. I would expect Button to be somewhat aware of how tight UTG's raising range is, therefore Button's range is probably very narrow. Facing only UTG's PFR I'd be seriously considering flatting preflop.

Thanks a lot for the replies you guys!

Figured it was a hand where calling/shoving/4 betting/folding were all valid options with folding being the best option imo.

tough spot my first auto reponse was to shove, then I thought about and decided to muck it haha. But I wouldn't disagree really with anyway you play that hand.
