Party Poker $25 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players
2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked

UTG: $23.73
MP: $10.97
CO: $12.78 52/18 >94
BTN: $22.00
Hero (SB): $28.66 TAG
BB: $71.46

Pre Flop: Hero is SB with Q Q
2 folds, CO calls $0.25, 1 fold, Hero raises to $1.10, 1 fold, CO calls $0.85

Raise pf for value

Flop: ($2.45) 3 K 9 (2 players)
Hero bets $1.70, CO calls $1.70

I bet, he can have a PP, spade draw, bet for value

Turn: ($5.85) 9 (2 players)
Hero bets $3.10, CO calls $3.10

I decided to bet here, if I c/f I fold the best hand a ton, since i think he can bet non nut flush draws, PPs a lot. If i c/c my hand is face up and river gets nasty, and if I c/r I dont see what worse calls, or what better folds. So I bet here, he can still have spades, a pp, he might peel with spades sometimes, or a pp, and as i said every other option sucks. It also balances my double barrels i guess as a side consderation

River: ($12.05) 6 (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $6.88 all in, Hero folds

I dont think I see a busted draw often here enough to make a call profitable in the long run, based on his turn call on a brick, and im fairly sure any pp/medium hand gets checked back, so its like Kx, maybe busted draws if im somewht wrong. I'm getting like 3-1, call or fold? At the time I wanst so sure it could be a busted draw/pp often enough for me to be good 25% of the time, and it can be a K a lot, a 9 sometimes though i'd expect a turn raise from a 9.

Thoughts? Betting with 2nd pair like this on the turn was an experiment since i kind of found every other line a bit crap in the past

Against this loose player, I would just check the turn.
After 90+ hands you should have a clue which amount he's betting with several kind of hands and then you can accordingly act.

I suggest a bigger raise PF (nearly $2, since you're OOP).

Why a bigger raise pf? When did we start open-raising to 8xbb? Did I miss a memo somewhere when plowing more money into the pot OOP, varying raise size based on strength of hand, and then not getting my value raise called ever, due to it being 8xbb when 3 - 4 x the bb + 1 per limper would a) look way more normal since that's normal for me and b) serve the same purpose. I do not understand the purpose of this 8xbb raise your suggesting AT ALL. It seems awful.

Not really, if there was an easy betsizing tell I'd a) have not posted since the hand would have been easy, and b) if he's loose why am I checking? My point was he can have pp/air/spades a ton here, but it's going to be difficult to try and play this with for pot control OOP with plenty of awkward cards to come.

call. your line looks like a busted draw also or a complete bluff. Hes bluffing a lot more than you give him credit for.

It's a pretty gay spot on the turn, your reasoning for betting sounds pretty decent so I don't hate it, but your value betting against a really small range so i'm not sure if i think it's better than checking.

I guess the river could be close, but a fold is best imo, I don't think it's that likely that he's doing this with TT or 88 or something and you only really beat busted spades
(And as a side note, if he's bluff shoving the river for half pot he's probably likely to have shipped the turn/flop with the same hand).

Opponent has already invested money, so I bet some more money. I do this all the time, when I'm in the blinds. I want him to fold hands like Kx or Ax.
I'm happy to collect what is already in the pot, when I'm in the blinds.

edit: BTW, is this an open-raise, since somebody voluntarily put money in the pot before me???

Then, why don't you push the river by yourself?
No draw was completed.
