Hey guys.

I got an email from someone claiming to be Moneybookers today. Said it would close my account within January the 3rd because of "Inactivity". This is definitely false since I have logged in and made transactions recently.

I emailed MB about this and waiting for an answer.

Should I take any other precautions ? I think someone knows my MB adress has money on it or something because I had 2 failed logins about 2-3 months ago.

Anyway, wanted to warn other players since I might not be the only one targeted.

The first email is the potential fake. The second one is a real one (in 2nd pic)

In before I think it's a scam and MB actually closes my account

BTW I posted this in MSNL as I think it's quite likely the scammer is targetting poker players, and most likely not micro-players. But if this is the wrong forum then please move it. Thanks

Is this email from Skrill? Emails from Skrill will always address you by your first and last name. If the email does not include your first and last name, it’s not from Moneybookers. Spoof or ‘phishing’ emails usually have generic greetings such as 'Dear Moneybookers member' or “Dear Moneybookers”

Yeah thanks, that's what made it very suspicious too.

Emails from moneybookers will also use proper English grammar, and this looks like a phishing attempt. I don't think it means you are at a high risk, but it may mean that someone knows you have a MB account and is trying to access it. It could also just mean that a scammer got hold of a mailing list from a poker site and is just hoping to take advantage of the correlation between poker players and MB users.
