Yo broseidon, lord of the brocean; nate (winston's friend) here. Like the post, keep up the work. Try to get down to L.A. for the home game when we finally run it again. Oh and clearly black 17 only works if you go to Gold Coast or wherever for gas on the trip back and you bet $2 on it...

You ever play any HU or 6max? How did you fare at those games?

I played like 1k hands of 50NL HU and won a buyin or two. When I played it was mostly just for fun, and I didn't game select at all. In 6max I am a 4ptbb/100 loser at 25NL over like 25k hands, because I sucked when I first started playing, and then ran like **** when I played while I was rebuilding my roll. I'm a winner at 2-10NL/PL 6max, and 50NL/PL 6max. **** 25NL 6max, it's cursed ground. I enjoy playing 6max every once in a while because it forces me to think a little more and I think the games in general are better. There's just more variance involved, which I don't usually want to deal with.

Very inspiring story. The tourney wins were just amazing. Maybe we should all start playing MTTs and hoping to boost our BR?

I wouldn't play MTT's unless you're comfortable playing them. MTT's can be a good way to bankroll yourself for stakes you shouldn't be playing. If you want to play MTT's to boost your roll in order to move up in stakes faster, I don't think things will work out too well a majority of the time. I'm not much of a fan of taking shortcuts--I've always moved up when I felt I could beat the next level up and not a moment sooner.

I go to SFSU. Kind of in the same boat as you as I was once beating 100nl, and now I am back at 25nl FR rebuilding after cashing out 80% of my roll. I will be in SF on the 23rd, but I'm 20, where do you play live up north besides the casinos? PM me.
