I wouldn't think so. Vs. an unknown I would assume he is shoving for value and that is any nine, deuces for a full house and TT+. However some villains shove something as weird as A2 and hands like AKs/KQs and pairs eights and lower. This can't be assumed though so folding is fine.

I am just wondering but in this situation would the optimal play be to call the donk bet and reevaluate turn or to raise the donk bet on the flop?

nah, folding sucks. don't raise if you are going to fold to the all in.


also a lot more people like to checkraise with 9x here instead of leading out for close to pot.

raise and then call the shove.. if he just calls... shove any river for value
