Hey all,

I realise my 4bet preflop is too small and this hand could have played out a lot easier this deep, but as played, I'm lost as to what is the best play postflop. Villain is basically an unknown playing zoom. I feel if I jam OTF I'm either flipping or slightly behind his calling range. I've discounted QQ and JJ's as I see people are mostly peeling the flop here. I'm basing my assumptions on my population reads as this deep is usually a nutted or nut draw hand.

Is calling the raise and reevaluating on the turn an option oop? Seems a bit gross to me as if I'm already behind there are a lot of blanks which can hit and I now have a great price to call vs their range. On the other hand I keep ranges wider with hands that I'm ahead of.

In these kind of scenarios I call once and fold to further aggression.

I've noticed quite a lot of people recently flatting AA preflop after a 3bet or 4bet so they can valuetown postflop. Never used to see it but nowadays it seems to be pretty common. So I wouldn't discount AA from his range, but at this price I'm not folding flop.

But yeah, I'd fold if he bets big on turn, unless I bink a K.

Thanks mate. Yea I def see more people slowplaying AA pre aswell. I think given we're deep it's a little less likely in this spot.

If they were to check back a blank turn, and bet a blank river are you calling?

I'd call a river bet if they didn't bet the turn and both were blanks, yeah (providing it's a reasonable bet, not a shove or anything).

If he checks back on the turn though I might be more inclined to bet river myself (fold to a raise).

It's a gross spot though, there's practically no cards in the deck we like. Diamonds make his semibluffs get there, we obviously hate aces, and even a Q or J might have given him a set.

I prefer just shoving the flop here. His preflop sizing looks a bit fishy and being oop we don't really want to let him check back the turn
