Is it possible to win at 8.33 bb/100 at 25nl on Merge over 7.3k hands and be running bad?

? think you might be running good

My friend says that he has been winning at that rate over that sample and has been "running bad" which seems ludicrous to me, because that would imply his winrate was something like 12bb/100 at least, which doesn't really seem very attainable at 25nl on Merge.

No.

If your roll is going +++, I think that generally means you're running good. Not an expert of course.

well no, a 6bb winner who is winning at only 4bb over a sample is running bad despite roll growth

Dang that's smart. At what point can a person say "I'm a Xbb winner" ? Doesn't seem like at 25nl you could make that assesment.

WTF how did so many posts end up here, wasn't I second? Whats going on - this thread got moved right

You just have to look at it like this:

This year's gonna suck. But so did last year. The differences are:

1) We're building a program with a stream of prospects that's just going to keep growing.

2) We're playing better ball than last year. We hustle, we play hard, starting pitching's been pretty decent - 6 1/2 ip/start, <2 er/start

3) The atmosphere and attitude of the players and management is way different this year.

So I'll suffer through a couple more off years with light at the end of the tunnel.

Yu Darvish threw 42 pitches in the 1st inning and gave up 4. Then he gave up 1 in the 2nd. Then he retired 10 straight, finishing 5.2 and getting the win. Once he settled down and got better control of that wicked slider he throws, he was simply amazing.

Rangers 11, Mariners 5. League is on notice: 5 ain't enough. Our bats are insane. We are going to be tough to beat this year.

Favorite moment was when Hamilton slid in safe to home but was called out. We were still down 5-2, and Josh was pissed and he goes off on the ump. Cruz steps up next and ties the game w/ a 3-run homer to left. Hamilton's next at-bat goes 406ft to the upper deck in right center.

I'm so happy baseball is back.

At least you're not a Twins Fan! I'm glad to return to the cellar, shake off all of our fans and get back to sports elitism where you can only root for a loser.

Gonna run the tables and drop all 162 this year

Going to my first game of the year tomorrow at Target Field, we might have a terrible team but I really enjoy our stadium

home sick with my 3 year old. Taking care of him while I am sick is not fun.

Talking about xbb/100 winner reminds me of what I was doing at NL100/200 right as BF happened.

I miss having a 3 yr old around the house. Maybe the last one being 24+ years ago has something to do with it?

Speaking of 3 yr olds, I want wanna these! Has anyone tried adding a rum to the mix?

Bought bunk beds and mattresses and innertubes, all for the cabin, today.

I'm really excited for it to get warm and to be able to tube down the river *cool shades.jpg*

Still sick? So I'm guessing that means we aren't going to LA on Thursday.

BTW, I like the new warning text next to the poast button. No doubt lots of haters and rage trolls are crying in their cereal these days.
