Aren't you still in the 15 day trial? Email them. I had that problem after installing my new hard drive the other day, and they responded fairly fast.
Sorry to hear things have been so rough lately. We need to keep you out of the job field. It sucks out there. Workin for the man every night and day. yuck.
Nite y'all. I think I'm getting out of the slump the last couple days. I was pretty down. I dropped 1/3 of my bankroll Thurs-Sat against some idiots and it was wearing me down. Plus I've been super burnt out at work, and it just was making things worse. But I had a nice +5bi's in 650 hands tonight, so I think things are coming back around.
Something I have a real problem with is stopping when I'm getting beat by bad players. Do you guys have any suggestions? Like I'll lose 2-3 bi's because a bunch of 65/20's are hitting on me constantly. but I can't step away, because I know I have the edge in the long run. But the short-term variance kills me when they get hit with the deck. What do I need to learn to help in these spots?
Also, it's worse when I'm bored and nobody else is around, cause I don't feel like/have anything else to do and keep playing.
Gelford's post yesterday was really helpful about this. Maybe I'll just print it out.
I'm not in the trial anymore since I'm a beta tester I got the release before most people. I emailed but it just sucks that I have to wait. :P
As far as lagtards running hot.. meh. It's just one big variance-fest but if you get TP, you can generally go with it as they're spewy as hell postflop.
... most of teh skill needed to beat this stupid game revolves around not losing ones head in face of variance.
.... cos after thousand of thousands of hands of pure rapeage, you going to shoot into green during a 20 minute session eventually (last word of this sentence is pronounce in a spanish accent in honor of tuna )

... but without the smartassedness, variance is a bitch and learning to live with her without going insane is more or less the single most important skill.
Also the old 20BI rules are from times before GP taught the entire world to 3bet ... there where a lot less preflop flipping back then .. and so smaller swings.

Bump for all gelford's advice yesterday about tilt and variance. I made a doc with this for myself. Thank you sir.
i mean its nice when ur tired and laying there with the eyes closed, thats nice
but being in the state of temporary death..it makes me unsettled most nights...tho usually i end up too tired to care...though its like its quite possible you could go to sleep and never wake up...crosses my mind more than it should

youll prob get hated on for this post, but I agree. although my fav moment is when you wake up early and realize in your drowzy stupor you can go back to sleep. However the thought of not waking up crosses my mind probably more than it does yours

itd be a lot better if there was at least a sense of awareness during it. like a purgatory sorta thing.
