If you're up a fairly decent amount you can afford to just go buy PT, right?

who are you on there? PM me. I still play there, as well at at 200.....but was semi re-inspired by smoke's post about multi-ing the 50, so for the last 3 weeks or so (unless i find some juicy 100 or 200 tables) I've been 16 tabling the 50 for about 5000 hands a day....I make more hourly doing that than 6 or 8 tabling 100 or 200, and as this is my only source of income I'm dependent upon my hourly rate. I think I'm going to do this till I'm supernova, prob by mid may then I'll give 200 another shot full time, 24,000 FPP's to go.

But yeah, who knows on that hand. Probably AK....I had one really bad week and tilted towards the end of it - minus 12 BI over a sh*tload of hands...not prone to tilting but def was close to as bad as I've ever been at the end of it.

TBH i haven't done a calculation....like, today, super long day, 11,051 hands, $497 dollars, but only ran at 4.5ptbb's whereas over the last 80k or so I'm running around 7....didn't keep track of how many hrs I played, too many.

I think it's pretty consistent with the rest of the profitable regs at 50nl, no better or worse. I don't like nitting it up as much as I do but am going to do it until I have enough to transfer onto some european sites as I'm getting a bank account here (Argentina) so it will be possible for me to do so, where I'll play 400nl and be able to 6table it (knock on wood) and pull in more per hr.

what's your screen name on stars, do i play against you? PM me; if you don't wanna let me know that's fine, just curious.

yeah, well, born in norway but raised in the US. I've been here for about 6 months. I was living in NYC and had met this kid through a friend who played poker professionally (1000 and 2000nl) and I started to go to his apmt after work and watch him play and would spend mornings reading 2+2 and various poker books - long story short I started playing in September, realized I could do it as a living, and moved down here with him shortly after

Yes sooted112 is always sitting with huge stacks at 50NL hu and is VERY VERY solid. Have not played him but have watched some of the HU and he is very, very good imo. Not sucking up obv.

I played him the other day for a few hundred hands. We were both down money at that point and I was winning 33% @ sd so I quit. He's pretty solid post-flop. He does weird things pre-flop like raising anywhere from 2x-6x and defends 3bets pretty light.

That's pretty awesome. I've wanted to visit Argentina for some time now. How's the cost of living down there? Are you staying in BA?

PM me your AIM if you don't mind answering some questions.

yeah i'm in BA - it's amazing. The city's great, the people are awesome, it's really safe, the girls are unreal....the exchange rate is 3 Argentinian pesos to 1 USD so it's really cheap to live here....an entree in a good restaurant is between 5 and 10 USD, a pack of cigarettes is a dollar, etc. You can live in a nice apartment for around 200-300 dollars a month...so obviously it's a good place to live while you're building up a roll; even playing at 50nl is a really good salary by Argentine standards. Plus you don't have to get a visa to live here as long as you leave the country (even if you just cross the border and turn back around) once every 3 months.

If you have a serious interest in visiting/living here, check out the 2+2 argentinian thread...there's a bunch of professional poker players living down here and we've all met and hung out and there's a bunch of good info throughout the thread.

But yeah, if you have questions I'll definitely answer them for you, I don't have AIM but I have MSN and Skype so shoot me a PM if you have one of them

peace

Has anyone noticed there's any difference in quality of play between the fast tables and the normal timed tables?

I've wanted to datamine (or just play enough of each type for enough hands to get a feel for how they're different), but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

What are some things you've noticed that are different about them? I'm guessing the fast tables will be a little softer b/c it's harder to play a large number of tables at the fast tables, and the 1 tabling fish will be more likely to go there because they'll get bored at the normal table.
