Yeah....damn. I am going to get little NFL action it looks like if all my college games get booked...

I get a lot of pm's about limits, and it's everyone worried about their open orders. Not all of them will match! you will get some $ back to bet NFL.

If you get action on all those games somehow (remember you get the $ back if they don't match before gametime), and are stuck before nfl, send me a pm and I will take a look and can adjust. But the easiest way is to have NBB update the sheet if it's reasonable, and/or contribute significantly.

Having the limits more accurately reflect the true amount at risk is a much better solution imo than raising limits across the board.

I know that it takes a lot of work to implement changes on the site, but I do have a suggestion that may or may not be simple to implement. How about not having open orders count against one's limit until they are actually booked. If its not too much trouble to have the info update in real time, this should allow for most people to offer up a lot more action without increasing their overall exposure and risk level.

also, that should help with liquidity since people can freely put offers on games that they want without having to be selective with their offers due to hitting their limits.

Say someone has 20 orders...10 get matched, putting the user close to limit - which open ones should the site cancel? Or if someone has 500 open on a game, but just got something else booked and only has 100 left on limit and 3 other open orders, those orders are now 'fake' - not really fair to someone looking to book, thinking they are about to get action.

Not really a great solution imo.

Limits will gradually increase as people gain history and show need/payment history at higher levels than indicated on the sheet - NBB can update the sheet in those cases.

again, I don't know how difficult it would to implement. However, what I had in mind was that the site would automatically cancel all open orders that could put a user over the limit. So in the example that you gave, if someone has 500 open on a game but got something else booked and has only 100 left, well that order will just get canceled outright. This way, there would be no "fake" orders.

I see...it's possible, but very complex. Also could be a 'race condition' where two orders are booked at essentially the same time, when only 1 is allowed by limit. But let's see how the 'Limits release when both sides mark it settled' works.

It's a basic principle of exchanges where you want to maximize a user's ability to participate at a given risk level which is totally different from actually increasing the risk level itself. This is why matchbook has a feature called smartbalance where they only reserve funds to account for the extra marginal risk incurred. It's also the same idea behind margin accounts. Since the user's ability to trade/bet is increased without increasing the risk level itself, the entire exchange as a whole is rendered more efficient due to higher liquidity levels.

Again, I realize that any of these changes will take work and more importantly money. I'm just expressing my opinion that over the long run, we should be looking to improve the efficiency at a given risk level rather than just saying talk to NBB, and have him increase the risk level itself.

Just wait til you see phase 2...so sick. Contributors will get access to the test site to get familiar with it and make suggestions. Should be soon, possibly next week. But yeah, cost $s. Will be detailing phase 2 soon.

Stil only received about half the sitenames in response to the email. Really don't want to have to chase people down via pm, please get me your sitenames if you didn't email.

I want (all bets $25):
chiefs +3
bills +14
ravens -2.5
steelers +6
eagles -6.5
bears +7.5
panthers -3
falcons -6
vikings -5.5
rams +3.5
broncos -3
texans -3
patriots -3
chargers -7
colts -5
New Orleans -5.5

First quote (with amount you want) books it you are reputable on 2+2.

If you are unknown, I can escrow. Just send me a PM or something and ship the bet to
Pokerstars- YugiohPro (St. Louis)
Full Tilt Poker - Rissah ("S", Hot Girl Avatar)

I'll send it back + your winnings if I lose.

I have done dozens of trades in 2+2 P2P and HSNL trade threads, receiving up to 5k at a time. I have also done a lot of staking/trading on marketplace so my references are legit.

I am ONLY betting on each one once so first quote/pm in this thread takes it. PM me if you're unsure if it's taken already.

Vagos has been first in line for that, for at least 5 days, lol. If they don't move it to 3 and he's not booked by kickoff, I'm going to sympathy-book.
