sure this has already been discussed, but have the heads up rake changes for cash games made it totally unprofitable to start a 6 max table at 200nl with another reg?

I used to start almost every 200/400 table I played, Now it's close to impossible to beat the new rake structure unless playing the worst of worst table starters of which, unsurprisingly, very few remain.

So surely now if you don't script you can't get in games lol?

I made over 50k online last year (moar than cashy imo) and even got to spend 1 month in Vegas during the WSOP. Not too bad considering I come from a country where the average wage is less than $20 a month and I lived with less than $100 a month...

I haven't played a single hand this year and I'm now leaving in Melb Australia, might try live poker at the Crown at some point, but right now I'm not thinking about either that or online poker anymore.

Correct, For 98% of the playing population this is the case. You script, waitlist or play zoom. The other options is you sit out and wait for 3 handed or you hope the other guy has a higher loss rate than you and sits out before you're willing to.

I know you're a hu/ex hu reg, Part of the issue with stars for you guys is that when players sit there's an expectation for you to play when others join the table (ie, not to just quit when hu goes 3 handed and start a new table). Regs have been warned/had accounts suspended for that kind of behaviour. So unless you're willing to mix it in 3 handed line ups with regs only then you're better off getting a script.

Like i said, I used to start tables all the time, now it really isn't worth it except in the hope that a table fills relatively quickly or you're playing someone you have a 20bb/100 edge on hu.

Ha was just kidding with you, jealous of living in a country where poker is good income still.
Why did you move to most expensive country from one of the cheapest?

Life quality here is pretty good, also it's gotten cheaper now because the AUD has lost close to 30% of its value vs the USD.

Getting permanent residence here is not too difficult if u have a skill they need, and the money you earn working here is good compared to the cost of living.

True, but at this point in life and coming from the cesspool my country has become, I have no problem working a real job. As long as I get to live in a decent/safe place.

Living in the most dangerous country in the world certainly does not qualify as freedom. For me freedom is being able to go out in the streets and not worry about getting robbed or killed at all times, also being able to go into a supermarket and buying basic goods is freedom. Having water and electricity 24/7 and so on.

Read at least 1/4 of this article so you get an idea about life in my country
http://nytimes.com/2016/05/16/world/....html?referer=

Poker for me has become really tedious, and the prospects of making less money as time goes by doesn't make it any more fun imo.

Anyone read the changes to terms in services?

Also doesn't Aus have quite strict immigration policy?
