Played my first session last night out of the last 12 where i didnt get coolered with aces/kings preflop. Still running bad but hopefully the coolers have stopped/slowed. Played really well last couple sessions. Made a couple mistakes last night but nothing terrible. Missed some value w a small river sizing with a boat trying to induce but I shouldve gone big. Slowly bleeded out 3/4 stack over the session just from flopping bad in 3 and 4bps. Really hope we can get back to winning again soon

January 2023

Started off playing 5nl and 10nl the first 9k or so hands. Then decided to take a shot at 25nl and ran super hot. Unfortunately I got a little greedy and thought I could do the same at 50nl. Didn't work out this time though. Lost a few buy ins right out the gate and then chased my losses before coming to my senses.

I also started playing some Jackpot SNGs. While I wouldn't be surprised if my ROI wasn't sustainable. I'll probably continue to play them as I do find them to be incredibly soft.

Feb Goals

1. Put in all my cash volume at 25nl
2. Start keeping track of my sports bets
3. Try to maintain 20% ROI in SNGs

I moved up to 25NL but I really can't play reg tables anymore. I tried, but : 2 tables is not enough, nothing to do for long minutes sometimes. 3 or 4 tables is weird, with peaks of action I don't manage very well. For now I stick to 1 fast fold table : gives me plenty of time to think about my options when I play a pot, and I can quickly get rid of 83o and J6o type of hands.

I did not really observe reg tables were softer by the way, and anyway Pokerstars don't allow table selecting, even less seat selecting, so...

I don't think that it's Pokerstars disallowing table selection, but your specific country, no? I believe Germany and Italy specifically do not allow table selection and Pokerstars complies.

You might be right it comes from "regulatory authorities" in France rather than PS own policy. Those decisions are really absurd, and each country is absurd in its own way : if I remember well UK disallow auto topup at cash game tables!

Finally had a good month, got started on Bovada on NYE which helped the WR quite a bit.

Goal for next month is to keep putting in volume at 50nl until I feel like I'm comfortable to hopefully move up to 100nl. I keep hearing that there's a big jump in reg quality from 50 to 100 so going to study up and keep working on my mechanics esp. BvB SRPs.

Best of luck to you. I notice your 4 bet range is quite low, I would definitely start 4 betting quite aggressively in those pools if I were you. Regs at lower limits 3 bet a ton with suited connectors and stuff they shouldn't, and you need to punish that.

It really is, especially from 10 blitz. That game is ridiculously hard for microstakes and I was just treading water there.

I finally have access to my database again after 98 hours without power due to a winter storm. January results...

42,850 hands of 50 Zone at 4.88 BB/100, 4.17 EV/100.

I lost 18 buy-ins in a 4 hour session in the middle of the month, so I will take it! I have decided that I need to step up my studying if I want to achieve my poker goals. Young, hungry regs study a zillion hours/month so I am trying to put in 100ish hours/month to try to get ahead of the curve. I had gotten progressively lazier with my studying for over a year expecting talent to carry me which is... stupid.

Im just coming out of my worst runbad ive ever had in more than 10 years of online poker. I think in 2 weeks i faced as many 4bets as i had in the last 2 years, it was insane. You start thinking that people are 4betting super wide just completely out of line but they literally did just have the goods every time.

Impressive WWSF especially given how loose you are PF. Do you mind posting what it is in MW pots? I tend to blame my lower WWSF on playing a lot of MW pots, but it's also possible I'm too passive in them.

Also, do you think there are any particular stats that have the most correlation with having a higher WWSF?

Do you normally play a 30/26 style in 6m or is there a lot of HU and 3 handed mixed in? I was playing 24/20 on acr blitz and when I moved to bonition with more limping and less full tables all the time my stats are still in the 25/21 neighborhood…
