I have never seen someone with such an insatiable desire for a mediocre (in terms of price, not necessarily my opinion on quality/appearance) piece of furniture before

SL, rest your head in your hands when you're involved in a pot.

On the river, Phil noticed that Joe's hands were shaking horribly bad as he bet. Phil smiled and said, "I know you have a monster. I'll let you have it." Joe smiled and dragged the pot. The guy next to Phil at the table leaned over and said, "Don't pay attention to Joe's shaking. He's a recovering alcoholic. "
I'm pretty sure I read that in a TJ Cloutier book, too. Either one of his or Doyle's. Most likely an urban legend now.

I remember it in a Phil Gordon book.

So confused by this one.

And Data, I am drunk and happy/annoyed with myself. I think I have spent the last month and a half playing mosly rush because I got so caught up in bonus money that I lost sight of the goal of making the most per hour. It took a ******ed session and me blowing off steam then looking back at how much easier the games are to realize how stupid I have been.

Alas, You can't really be upset if you improved your game and made some money, right?

Cool. Same here. Used to play a lot, but not much anymore.

My hands used to shake a little, but it didn't affect me that much. Noticed a few players that had shaky hands that played championship level, such as Nick Varner and Stevie Moore.

I never found it to be much of a hinderance. Slightly annoying, and I think it helped me win a little more money sharking, but overall it doesn't really affect sports.

And sadly, I never play anymore unless it's drinking with friends. Lots of fun with girls as it turns them on watching me play. Not so much fun with the guys. They get bored/annoyed/pissed when I win 9 out of 10 games and get pissed when they win that 10th game because if I miss a shot I must be throwing the game to let them win.

Still wish I hadn't stopped playing though.

At the end of The Hustler, Eddie is forced to retire (they break his hands or something). He gets into the liquor business and doesn't touch a cue stick for 30 years until he meets young hotshot Vince at the start of COM. IIRC both films are based on novels by the same author (Tavis?).

If your hands shake in certain situations, rest your head in your hands. You reduce the shaking immensely.

That was my first thought, it now actually makes sense after some thought

What's happening in Europa? Run into any roos yet?

Unfortunately not, just sitting in the apartment grinding and whatnot. Next week we plan to go to Prague and Krakow on a little roadtrip, pretty excited for that. Now that i've seen most of Vienna it's almost like it's "normal"...except i have no friends, and don't speak German...so my roommate and I sit around/walk around a lot
