hhahahaha. When I knew it was comedy gold for BBV. Especially the rivercard and the overbet sealed it. I just wish he called =(

Iron man is basically FTPs reward system. You get points per day based on how much rake you generate per day. There are iron man levels you can achieve each day based on your amount of rake.

The biggest difference between this and pokerstars is that your points arent cumulative. They reset each day. At the end of the month you get your Iron man status based on how many points you generated per day and how many days you generated those points.

Does this mean you have to generate a certain amount of rake each day?
How do you check your iron man status?

effectively speaking, yes.
cashier-->my promotions-->iron man challenge

when I first started, the rewards seemed like **** because you're getting basically no medals for anything. But once you hit the 8/9th consecutive month you start getting 100+medals/mo it becomes much more worth while.

And FTP has done a bonus promotion based off your ironman status the last year or so.
10-24-2009 , 03:01 AM
for a 50nl grinder iron man boils down to an extra $2000/yr roughly in added bonuses to the rakeback

you gotta play a session on at least 20 calendar days every month tho

Beat: I probably have a sleeping disorder / problem
(I generally sleep at 4AM and wake up around 12-1PM)
Mega Beat: Need to be up in 6 hours (8AM) to tutor high school kids

Brag: Will tell them I can't do it anymore due to a "medical problem" that won't allow me to work during these hours (I'm actually getting myself checked out for this, but I won't be returning to work during the mornings regardless of the diagnosis)

Variance: Will still wake up in the morning for tomorrow

When you use ironman medals, its the same as FTP store? i mean, does this deducts from your MGR (less rakeback)?
10-24-2009 , 03:16 AM
if you buy the jacket or some **** it might i dunno but not if you buy cash bonuses i dont think

edit: fwiw i think ftp has a slightly better rewards program for 50nl players but slightly worse game selection. cannot confirm nor deny this tho. pretty close either way.

That's after you get it maxed out at 36 months in a row or whatever it is?

IRON MAN Medals Received Per Month
Month Iron Gold Silver Bronze
1 100 70 40 25
2-3 120 85 50 30
4-6 150 100 60 35
7-12 200 125 75 45
13-18 300 175 100 60
19-24 400 225 130 80
25-30 500 300 170 100
31-36 700 400 220 130
37+ 900 500 300 170

plus u can take an extra 100 bonus medals/month if you dont do the freeroll tournament

also the daily medals add up to like 50 medals/month

500 medals is $100 bonus. so after you been in it a while it's $100/month.

also, there are 2 midyear bonuses of $600 each if you make iron every month.
10-24-2009 , 04:00 AM
Thanks for the info. Do you have to clear the ironman bonuses? I think I read on my rakeback website that full tilt docks your rakeback any time you're clearing a bonus. That was a while ago tho so it could have changed.
10-24-2009 , 04:01 AM
yes you gotta clear the bonuses

i think it does hurt rakeback

dj -

he's prob just got an overpair and he's not folding. if he doesnt he prob has AK and prob wont fold that either. so if you ship you are getting called often and are behind imo
