Wanted to add that you should try the chickory coffee, alligator, and any other weird food you can find around NOLA

I had a really good jambalaya at some hole in the wall bar that had like rabbit and a few other things in it that was pretty good I think it was like Cooper's or Coop's or something like that

Anyone have experience buying suits? I'm curious about buying some online. I'm thinking maybe I'll go to a tailor and get my measurements done, then buy one at a nice store and then order one online and see how I like the difference in the buying process and suit quality. Any thoughts?

i've never bought a suit online but yea def get tailored first and if you are buying brand names i'd prob go to saks or bloomie's or somehwere to try on soemthing they make. i find all that **** fits differently and there's a ton of variation in sizing.

i only heard about them cause they were on the news this morning. the police is considering taking action against them, and they stopped doing this stuff. its freaking hilarious though and i wish there was lots more! I've only been able to find 4 different episodes so far.

true that, ty. got any idea what type of fabric is best for work suits? I'm thinking wool, since it doesnt wrinkle easily, but have no idea what people usually choose.

suits are all about fit and less about price, but the expensive ones tend to be more slim fitting and make you feel better... just know the brand you're buying, gilt stuff like that post what you think is a deal and they're really not if you do some simple googlin

Ah, thanks!

While on the topic of suits: I have a couple off-the-rack ones that I haven't had any tailoring done to. Is this a total noob move? Should I take them all in and get them worked on? What can a tailor do to make an already-existing suit look better on you?
11-17-2011 , 10:31 AM
Yes, that's what tailors do.
