holy ****, 50NL FR rush is the nittiest game I have ever seen

after about 10k hands, people fold to 3bets OOP like 80%+, and never 4b shove anything but AA/KK (60bb+ stacks anyhow)

lots of limp/folding, still, too.

people call in blinds all day and just c/f unless they hit a set.

this game could be a gold mine if everyone plays their hands so face up.

55$ or so behind, he is unknown (9/9 over <10 hands)

is bet of like 30$ to hopefully induce a herocall from KJ an option? Or jam and hope that he binked A is is the only play (I jammed).
I think that jamming does have one drawback: Im not at all sure how many Ax combos does he have otf and I might be paying off his boats bit too often.

Or do I turn it around, assume he snapfolds his Jx to a bet and start considering c/jam to let him bluff his draws? That has biiig drawback of him possibly, and correctly, checking back Ax.

I think that notion of As still being out there is quite important.

edit: lol wtf meant to make it 3.5-4x otf
make it 28.5 He will have way more Jx (+QQ and KK call here too) then Ax (the only Ax in his range is )

I'm a bit torn between 30ish (to get value from Jx) and c/r.
I think I prefer a c/r. Almost no one checks back an ace there and almost no one will fold an ace with the price they would be getting after betting.
Also I think there are at least as many missed draws as Jx hands he can have and ofc c/r is the only way to get value from those.

perhaps mate, but prolly not. i've started playing **** tons of Halo Reach online lately and ive found something i wanna get sick at again. i was awesome at Halo 3 but then it dragged a bit, and poker doesn't excite me atm unfortunately.

hows your grind going?
im thinking of hitting up Fabric at some point next summer, ive heard some pretty awesome things. any tunes for me?

i don't want to miss value from his hero J calls that check back

That's why I'm torn c/r is better vrs random Asx and missed draws and 60-80% potbet is better v Jx obviously.

I guess the merits depend on how often he herocalls Jx and how often he bluffs w a missed draws. We don't know ofc.

Since the start of last month I fell out of love, and started playing really bad trying to entertain myself. I played about 10k hands last month, 7k of which were over a weekend, so baring a solid weekend, I hardly played.

My roll peaked at $3.1k at the start of last month and since then I've dropped 17BI in the last 8k hands ($850), plus I withdrew $1.3k (£800) for live poker @ Empire, and lost £420 of that last night (again, played really well). Thing is, I haven't played badly at all, I've just never ran so bad in my life, and I don't have the time to work on it at all. I upped my hours at work, and joined the gym, so I'm really really tempted to quit Poker for the rest of the year, focus on the gym, and get in a schedule.

My roll is now $1.1k ($1.7k if you count the $$$ I haven't lost live yet), and I'm really tempted to withdraw it, put it in a separate bank account, and let it sit there until January, and see how I feel after Christmas. I spend way too much time playing Poker after work, and not doing stuff like eating correctly. I have a good social life, which means my time is basically spent working, playing poker or drinking alcohol and fast food with friends. I'm by no means out of shape, but my lifestyle isn't healthy at all, and the stress of Poker doesn't help. I need to get a new hobby and I love going to the gym, so am going to focus a lot of energy into that now.

I'm not 100% going to do this, I think I need to have along think about it, but it's been playing on my mind for some time, and maybe a break from it will do me some good. I sleep at 3am, and wake at 8am, don't eat breakfast, go to work, come back, sit on the laptop, rinse and repeat, until weekends, where I go and get absolutely smashed and spend the following day in bed, until I crawl out, go and get a McDonald's, and do it all over again.

Once I have a clear mind, I'll play much better Poker in 2011.

I haven't been to Fabric in a while since we last spoke about it. I want to go again soon, though.

Wow you guys are crazy, going to bed at 3am and getting up at 8am does not compute. It ****s me up because i literally can't function on such little sleep, although i wish i could.

Im almost identicle to this, roll was $3.8k, withdrew 1.5k, swingaments killed me down to a whopping $1.1k. Personal life affected my game and the beats/coolers made my mood worse etc.

Took a week off to evaluate, felt like quitting, now Im grinding an iPoker bonus and if I meet my hand target for the month and my maths is correct i'll be back above my $3.8k by December 1st and I can quit this multi tabling grinding ******** and go back to 2 tabling and start owning souls again!

@ ell, sounds like a top idea mate, i think poker can be super self destructive to your lifestyle and im largely in the same boat as you atm with work being replaced with uni. i havent played poker for like 3 weeks now and i feel so much better for it already. i think coming back with a fresh approach or playing more live will do you the world of good. good luck with that though mate for sure just make sure you post in the euroBBV from time to time to let us know how things are goin

@ swift lol

@ scooby, good taste sir

@ JeC, don't fcuking have it then you miserable blighter

@ george, thats cos youre shagging all the time
