hahahahaha, i'm sitting here playing a tournament and I realize i have to drop a deuce. I run when i think i have an opening, come back to see i folded JJ and get mad. two guys are all in, AT vs 77 and I get even more angry, but lo and behold: ace on the flop, 7 on the turn, 1 guy knocked out, and me showing the 'I'm Back' button with all my chips safe and sound.

So I assumed something at some point but I'm starting to realize something.

No one really cares/thinks about EV, it's a word we all use but how many of us actually think that folding is always 0 EV and we only do it when calling/raising/betting are all negative. The one that really tilts me is how people don't understand how to view the EV of multiple streets, they only care about equities and making sure you get it in as a favorite to make sure your EV line is up. We make alot of plays thinking hey we have tons of equity so shoving is +EV, but .0000000001 EV is +EV, so was that the best way to play that hand because if your edge is that small there could now be a case for folding. What I'm getting at is that we should also consider the magnitude of a play.

This also relates to hand ranges, easy example a fish bets the river and based on reads/texture we know his range is polarized, right? That's awesome theres your 30 bucks a month to have a NL200 reg tell, at work. But you know sometimes they just can't show up with air based on how the hand went, so in this case there range is polarized, but polarized to the nuts only.

Value betting on the river, ffs if there are more combos that are worse and will call than ones that fold or beat us, then value bet.

double post

im losing some of my HH on this room , i guess its because i close the table before the hand is over..

Happened today, i raise UTG QQ ready to leave the table, a 3bet y 4bet he shoves and shows AA. Ok w/e i close the table after the river is dealt but before the next hand is dealt, even before the money is shipped to that mother****er.

Now, that HH doesnt appear on my hem. Does the same happens for stars/ftp ?

against 25/5/50% foldcbet this is std right?

cbet flop always, or don't 3bet this pre? Even tho we have the best hand here >50% of the time, I don't usually want to showdown JTo here unless I have some exact-weird read about how villain will react ongoing.

raise turn.
