you're probably playing bad, most players overcompensate for running bad by putting themselves in even more marginal spots and its easy for opponents to adjust by just tightening up and letting you level yourself into putting money in

BWD, play .50/1 as a 30/20, get those instincts and confidence back.

I have actually considered that during my last break and decided to avoid close spots for now in order not to increase the swings. I didn't even bluff that much today except 2 semibluffs and standard spots like 3betting light few times and trying to take down the small pots, nothing out of the ordinary, really. Those hands were not the reason i lost today.

That didn't help me to win 1 flip out of the last god knows how many for stacks, to get underflushed in raised pot against a fish, to avoid a gutterball turned into a backdoor fd against the worst reg at Crypto who constantly hits the most ridic bs ever against me. KK is never good on 925 rainbow flop in3bet pot, i guess.

The last straw was that same fish who overflushed me, who cold called my 3bet from the button with QTs and beat my JJ on the river with trips.

The problem isn't even those beats/coolers/10% flip winnings. It's the fact that everyone of those makes me too upset and angry, because it is going on for too long now. And i have to quit every time, cause i am incapable of playing like that.

I moved down to Nl500 and doing a 50k hands challenge (after taking few days off), was actually looking forward to that and left supertilted after less than 2 hours.

What do i do to relax, to take all this bs more calmly? I look at all the people who play long sessions and eventually do bust those morons and get back into the green and i have to leave good games because i am too tilted to continue.

Arturius - i even played 1/2c yesterday, setting up HM
Seriously though, i would feel too depressed right now lower than Nl500, it's enough of a dissapointment for me that i am not an Nl2000 reg by now...

But who knows, if i keep running like that, where i might end up

I just took a ***** week off (like the 4th or so), i tried everything, heads up playing 2/4 for some time, tightened up alot, but didnt nit it up as in weak tight. im spamming alot of pple with hands, and almost everyone says that i should beat up the games for a good amount and that im good (some think im very good), but somehow this is my 3rd losing month and i lose money at every level i play. whatever i do, i just lose or break even. I do not even run hot for short times, sometimes i have a winning day, but thats usually followed by 5 losing days. i look through my ***** database, but cant find any big leaks. like black winter im avoiding more and more close spots in 6 max games.

you beat up msnl for a while being decent but clueless in alot of spots having huge tilt issues, then you get much much much better, and somehow lose lose and lose again. i barely tilt, but an hour ago i just lost it and was like fk this stupid game, im tilting off my roll, tilted off 5k$ or so , and then thought, this is stupid and left. and that was playing after a week without poker or internet. jesus. I dont ***** deserve this, i work very hard to get good, i read half 2p2, i review all my sessions, i think about the game alot, and i put more work in it then alot of other pple judging by how awefull 80% of the pple are at my heads up tables not even understanding simple game theory stuff.

i just started recording alot of my sessions with camtasia, i noticed when i do that i usually make less mistakes. maybe thats helpfull for you too black winter.

fwiw 2/4 - 10/20 PLO is really good right now, as in unsustainably good imo so get in there OMG

not for the faint of heart or faint of br of course, bcos 30 buyin downswings are basically inevitable given a large enough sample

u have more than once talked about how u dont tilt but then be like but i just tilted 5k off last hour, u r prob a marginally winning/losing player who is running kind of bad and tilting off a lot of money. deal with it.

running bad does crazy things to your game imo, lose confidence, tilt, overanalyzing and out leveling yourself, becomeing obsessed with statistics etc etc. I had my largest downswing buyin wise at the start of this month, running terrible in every way coolers suckouts, some tilt, scare cards you name it. I think the biggest struggle is just keeping your head on straight. I fought hard and almost broke even on the month and i'm pretty ****in proud of myself even tho i do feel like my confidence is a bit gone but i'm sure that will be back after a month of run good (plz august).

anyways i read this thread and msnl a lot and have seen a lot your posts shizzle and i can't really comment on whether or not its running bad or ur game or whatever but keep your chin up man, dwelling on stuff like this can only hurt.

fwiw i started out this month almost -20k all at 3/6 nl 6max (like i said worst ds of my cash days) and ended a few gs down (played 30k hands this month). Not that that has anything to do with you shizz i just needed to vent a little myself.

EDIT - oh and trust me i kno 30k breakeven is a drop in the bucket but the downslide is what hurt.

Horseshoe in Hammond. They did a $500 million renovation on the entire casino...apparently its super nice now.

From everything I've heard the room compares with the nicest Vegas poker rooms...has a high limit section, Bobbys Room thing etc.

I'm checking it out tomorrow, but have been reading this thread:

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...d.php?t=173515

Also, I live in Chicago now but went to school at IU and grew up in Munster.

What? The new "horseshoe" is a renovated caesar's indiana, which poker room is god awful, unless there is also one in chicago that I am unaware of, which may be the case.

edit: Which is the case. I'll have to check this out, because the poker room in southern indiana's horseshoe casino is a joke.
