my brain is non functioning at the moment

I will say this, I think the S550 is pimp as hell but in general BMW>Benz, imo. Except in the '90s the SL500 was the ****.

Damn i'm in the market for a new car as well even though my A4 has a year left on the lease.

Problem is i'm all over the place. Thinking something in the 60-85 range.

Current front runners for each category.

Coupe

BMW m3
audi s5
mercedes e550

nissan g-tr ( if i want to splurge a bit)

Sedan

Lexus isf
mercedes c63 amg
m3 sedan

bmw m5 (another splurge dunno)

Anything I should def be looking to test drive that i've overlooked in this price range that would be awesome?
02-06-2010 , 04:53 PM
i think the s5 is the best looking and best every day car.

i think the gtr is well worth it and the best driving car by a landslide

I would snapbuy the the BMW M3/5 in that price range, just cause I like it. Never test drove a benz or lexus before though.
02-06-2010 , 05:04 PM
the m5 is siiiiiiiiiick, 535xi is in that price-range and a great car if you want a sedan. Def worth a test drive and better value than an E-class.
02-06-2010 , 05:04 PM
Agree that m3/m5 is the front runner out of that list. I would look at the bmw 6 series as well.

tcorb and I are trying to rent a place by the beach and no one in the world wants to rent to us because we're STRAIGHT UP ****ING GANGSTA LIVIN
02-06-2010 , 06:06 PM
have you tried offering to pay half the lease up front or a larger deposit? That's what I had to do.

edit- is it because you guys have bad credit or is it the lack of "employment"

Its a combination of the employment issue and being young I guess. I mean, one place we offered to pay the years lease up front and then I never hear back from the realtor. I go to see them and they say the owner doesn't want to rent to us because of the income verification issue. I tell them we have tax returns, remind them of our willingness to pay up front and they said the owner didn't want to rent to young people...well wtf just say that ORIGINALLY.

Same deal with another owner who owns like three of the places available where we want to live...we offer huge deposits, tax returns, bank statements and he says he's not interested to renting to us because of our "situation".

yeah I'll show them what the ****in situation is

If you want a car and want to spend some $, the amg is by far the best car to go with. I have driven many friends bmw's and audi's but nothing compares to my mercedes, and I only got an E350 sport. BMW's interiors are meh, audi is a nice car, but I think they are a bit too expensive. The E550 coupe is bad ass too.

did anyone get their physical tickets for the molsen hockey house yet?
havn't heard anything since i ordered them online

lol wow I mean they probably think you are drug dealers or something. I had one place in LA turn me down when I offered to pay the whole lease upfront but I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only person with an app in so I'm guessing some 35 year old with solid employment was the reason.

What about a cosigner? I guess it does seem shady for someone who isn't old enough to have graduated college to have enough cash to pay a years lease up front. I think your just running bad with property owners tbh, I have really bad credit and have leased 3 apartments with no cosigner. IME people are usually willing to work with you unless they have better candidates lined up.

Hmmm, I doubt you're going to be disappointed with any of those choices bud Performancewise you can google a bunch of comparisons between them, and as far as aesthetics that should be pretty subjective. The GTR would be FUNNNN, though

Heres mine, I wasn't looking for a car at the time but the... stylistics seduced me

Just ordered some music video DVD's so I can drive around at 3pm when school's out and make the kids happy (with candy in the passenger seat as bait obv)

yeah I guess we might need to try a cosigner but I think we're just running bad. I've been able to get approved for all the apartments I've lived in, hopefully this downswing will end soon.

Cheet what if you showed the landlord your ballin bank statements (if they are)? Also, have you met with him/her in person? If not, I'd try to arrange that and dress nice and look presentable because appearance can say a lot. On paper you and tcorbs probably do sound like a drug dealers.
