I started playing at NL25 about two days ago, I'm still not confortable playing a lot of tables.

A Christmas Story for people having a bad day:

When four of Santa's elves got sick, the trainee elves did not produce toys as fast as the regular ones, and Santa began to feel the Pre-Christmas pressure.

Then Mrs Claus told Santa her Mother was coming to visit, which stressed Santa even more.

When he went to harness the reindeer, he found that three of them were about to give birth and two others had jumped the fence and were out, Heaven knows where.

Then when he began to load the sleigh, one of the floorboards cracked, the toy bag fell to the ground and all the toys were scattered.

Frustrated, Santa went in the house for a cup of apple cider and a shot of rum. When he went to the cupboard, he discovered the elves had drank all the cider and hidden the rum. In his frustration, he accidentally dropped the cider jug, and it broke into hundreds of little glass pieces all over the kitchen floor. He went to get the broom and found the mice had eaten all the straw off the end of the broom.

Just then the doorbell rang, and irritated Santa marched to the door, yanked it open, and there stood a little angel with a great big Christmas tree.

The angel said very cheerfully, 'Merry Christmas, Santa. Isn't this a lovely day? I have a beautiful tree for you. Where would you like me to stick it?'

And so began the tradition of the little angel on top of the Christmas tree.

One small caveat. If you can't play 20 tables as well as you play 1 table then you are effecting your bankroll.

Edit: Nice story

I kinda took that for granted that only winning players considered playing more tables. Start with one table and make a few $, fire up 2 tables and when we make a few $ fire up 4 tables etc.

vimes is trying to say even winning players reach a table # that they are not playing a well as they could, thus they actually make less money by playing more tables than they should.

Assuming you don't play for a living this should be easily doable. Watch your cash outs and move up. Once you get to 100NL + IMO this isn't a problem if you give it some serious effort.

If you DO play for a living, bonuses are key. Also living within your means, or even UNDER. You don't have to be balla 24/7 despite what most 2p2ers think . Living ghetto or even semi ghetto for one year can save a BR FAST!

Anyway I know I'm late in responding to this but yeah, you know how it goes!

Good luck!
12-10-2008 , 10:23 AM
nah, don't listen to jeanie, you gotta be a baller.

The only reason i'm getting a 30" monitor is for balla status

But yeah, 100k shouldn't be that hard in 2 years w/ bonus and stuff at 50nl+, if you can put in the volume.

I'm trying to have 100k by the middle of 2010, so here's to hoping I run g00t.

what chu guys want?

I've been real busy w/ staking/coaching/supernova stuff, but always love makin' vids.

New computer should be up and running by Friday, so can probably knock one out then.

25nl? 50nl? 100nl? SS'ing 200nl?

100vpip? 0vpip? (i don't think a 0vpip vid would be much fun tho)

Also, I will be launching my website hopefully sometime next week, so all vids and stuff will be there.

There are so many amazing milestones (not PS milestones but money milestones) along the way to 100k.

Hitting 10k felt amazing for me. The first time was awhile ago but it quickly dwindled away after a few mistakes. Hitting it again and KEEPing it was an amazing feeling.

I really had no idea how big a deal having SN would make on my yearly profits but if you do a rough estimate of yearly hands played, bonuses, milestones, profit obv it makes a HUGE difference. This year (2008) is my first year as a cash game player and I'm soooooooo happy I made the move.

i would love some 25NL 9-12 tab tag on ftp deep stacks (any vid on deep stacked tables) w concentrating on the concepts that alot here are still struggling with (3bet pots oop vs regs, when to play fest or slowplay sets, stacking off w TPTK vs different type of players, handling overpairs or two pair hands in multiway pot on drawy boards etc etc) making an 100NL-200NL is really pointless for micro donks like us that need to fix our leaks first, but SS'ing 100NL sounds sweet, as some of us who rolled for 25NL can take these shots. also teach us how to pokerstove ranges in realtime after you went into tanking for difficult decision can be sick.

I vote for 25NL (50NL goes for me too).
Max 4 tables, 2 would be great (had some troubles following all the action in the last vid with 9 tables )
~15/12ish VPIP
And think out loud when you play

Edit: And try getting the file size smaller
12-10-2008 , 10:59 AM
deep stack ses! sounds sick, looking forward!
12-10-2008 , 11:11 AM
ok, i'm going to do 6 tables I think, b/c with 9 i'm always talking about a hand when another spot comes up, and we miss some stuff.

So, 25nl deep, 6 tables, and i'll throw in some pokerstove/PT stuff during downtimes, or at the end.

Oh, and I will make it as small as possible, but I seem to fail miserable at this part.
12-10-2008 , 11:12 AM
What do you use to record the movie?
12-10-2008 , 11:17 AM
plz don't compensate file size for quality, nothing wrong with 600MB+ any reasonable connection (3MB+) dling quickly enough.

and 2-4 tabling sounds horrible, really not enough spots to talk about for 50-60min ses, i am voting allin for 9+
12-10-2008 , 11:17 AM
Camtasia,

And I won't do anything to mess w/ the quality, I just accidentaly made the last movie .avi instead of .wmv, hence the larger file.

notontilt09, you can use VirtualDub to change format/frame rate/color depth/bit rate/etc etc of your finished vids. It's free, very fast for what it's doing and easy to use. It does also give you an estimate of what the final file size will be me thinks.

Super heater is over after last night session. 6K hands at 21ptbb/100......SHIP IT!! I could of kept the trend going last night getting up 3 BI in my fisrt 100 hands, but then had a few more AA << KK, losing top set etc and couldn't make it up on other tables by staking enough donks. I need to post some of the hands people were calling me down with....comical.
