That doesn't make sense. If your opponent knows you'll barrel it as a bluff then you should be value betting it 100% of the time because he'll look you up.

if my opponent thought that far i wouldnt sit with him, no reason to balance ranges at nl20 hu :>

I am down $100 in my last 200hands. I've flopped the nuts trips on rainbow board(with no straight draw either) and ended up losing to a donk hitting 2 outs 4 times today. *sigh*

nope not me.

I've never seen anything like this before. Top 2 vs set (3 times), flopped straight vs flopped flush, set over set (twice) and those are only the coolers from today (about 1800 hands).

90% of the hands were vs your typical 60/20 - 80/40 player.

The beats (non-coolers) have been out of control too. I've flopped 2 pair which turned into a boat on the turn only to split with someone who has absolute garbage 3 times (once for 200bbs).

Every single time I pickup a straight or 2 pair vs some 60/40 ****** I get the money in on the flop or turn only to get outdrawn on later streets. Every single time I have TPGK/TPTK the board ends up going crazy making it impossible to extract value vs worse hands.

What's the longest downswing you've been on before uNL BBV? Surely this has to stop soon. The last 3 days have been so gross that it's starting to feel like it's almost not possible to run this bad.
I've been on a 2.6ptbb/100 stretch for 50,000 hands so, yeah, they can last a long time. Even though that's not technically a downswing it sure feels like it. The stuff you're describing has been pretty much constant for me since March 24th.

how is that strat? haha i saw that hand at a table i was playing at last night. i folded 78o preflop
05-10-2008 , 01:47 PM
i meant i was not going to start a strat debate over which was worse but both of them played it terrible. it was not directed at you.
05-10-2008 , 01:51 PM
haha ok my misunderstanding. agreed it was just terrible. but quads vs. SF so i figured i might as well add it to the BBV for entertainment value.

My worst played hand EVER I think I stopped thinking after I was dealt KK.

Whenever I need motivation to get better... I look at this hand, I don't think I did one thing right in it.

against a regular? Who was playing pretty tight and aggressive. I basically felt like I butchered the turn by giving him pretty good implied odds to call.

Makes me feel better that I'm not alone though .

well yeah ya could have raised to ~22$ but its not that big of a mistake, what can he really hit to crack your hand with his implied odds.
your not putting him on 66's 99's or 77's, betting that small on the turn normally gets someone to try and rep the straight if it hits on the river since all they can think now is your cant call with one pair.
